Wooden beaver – plywood beaver silhouette for crafting

The craft table is set and the paints are ready. Now all you need is a motif that makes you want to get started. This wooden beaver is made for your next crafting afternoon. It is a flat, laser-cut beaver silhouette in untreated plywood. You can paint it, decorate it with stick-ons or simply use it plain as decoration. That's how a simple idea becomes a little favourite.

What changes for you

• You can start creating straight away, with no preparation – the wood is untreated and takes paint, glue or oil directly.
• Your shape always suits your project, because you choose the width freely from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps – from small scatter pieces to large decorative features.
• It's pleasant to work with and needs no finishing, thanks to smooth, laser-cut edges with no rough spots.
• Planning bigger activities is easy, as the wooden beaver is available individually or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
• Your decorations look natural and warm, because every piece has its own grain – no two are alike.

Why this wooden beaver makes a difference every day

Shop-bought decorations often look generic – a shape you've designed yourself tells your own story. With the beaver silhouette you bring a little piece of nature into your home and decorate it exactly to suit your home, your celebration or your project. Whether left subtly natural or brightly painted, the result looks lovingly made rather than bought.

Material & finish

The beaver is made from 3 mm plywood and laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck. That is where the typical brown edge comes from, which nicely highlights the outline. The edges are smooth and the finish is clean. So you can pick up the motif straight away and keep working on it. The wood is untreated, not varnished or stained. Some pieces are lighter, some darker. Small knots and differences in the grain are part of it. That makes every piece unique – not a flaw, but real natural material.

How to use the wooden beaver

• At a crafting afternoon with children: every child paints their own beaver – and proudly takes home a keepsake they designed themselves.
• For nurseries, schools or nature projects: use the set for topics like forests and animals by the water – everyone gets the same shape, and every result turns out different.
• As a gift tag or table scatter in small sizes: a painted beaver on a parcel makes your present feel more personal than any ribbon alone.
• In shops or shop windows: large silhouettes up to 50 cm wide quickly showcase a nature theme without much setting up.
• Our tip: The flat silhouettes are great for gluing onto wood slices, wreaths or door signs. That way, just a few pieces become a decoration with depth.

Good to know about the beaver

The beaver is known as nature's skilful builder, patiently shaping entire landscapes. That's why the beaver silhouette is a particularly good fit for woodland and nature decorations, for projects about animals by the water, and anywhere little and big builders get creative.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do: store the untreated beaver somewhere dry and keep it away from constant moisture, and it will keep its shape and look good for a long time. If you paint or oil it, you decide on the surface and look entirely to your taste.

Where does the brown edge come from? The beaver is laser-cut, which creates the typical dark edge that makes the silhouette stand out clearly.

How tall is the beaver at 10 cm wide? At a width of 10 cm, the height is 7.5 cm – other widths follow the same proportions.

Why does each piece look slightly different? Wood is a natural material: brightness, grain and small knots vary – which is exactly what makes every beaver unique.
