Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.Spring is just around the corner and the craft table is ready. But you still need a motif for your window, door wreath or gift tags. This wooden bee made of plywood is just right for that. It is a cute honeybee with a laser-marked face. You can paint it, decorate it or simply hang it up unpainted. That turns a craft idea into spring decor that buzzes – at least to look at.
What changes for you
- You can start straight away without any sawing. The bee arrives already laser-cut with smooth edges.
- Your decoration fits exactly where you want it, from a small gift tag to a large window picture. You can choose the width from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You decorate it just the way you like: paint it, stick things on, oil it or varnish it. The wood comes untreated in its natural state.
- Crafting afternoons with children are more relaxed. The face is already marked with laser-scored lines. The little ones just need to add the colour.
- You are ready for group projects too. You can order the bee singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
Why this wooden bee makes a difference in everyday life
A ready-cut motif takes care of the most time-consuming part of the preparation. You can focus on the fun part: designing, combining and decorating. In the window, on a door wreath or on a gift, the bee shows the grain and texture of the plywood. Printed decorations simply don't have that. And because wood is a genuine natural material, every bee has its own character.
Material & finish
The bee is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood in our own production in Pößneck. This gives it the typical brown edge, which makes the motif look clean and finished. The top shows the outlines and face as laser-scored lines. The back is left plain, so you have one designed side and one blank side. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. That is why it takes paint, glue and oils well. As a natural material, every piece is unique. Differences in shade, fine textures in the grain or small knots are normal and not a defect. They are what makes each bee one of a kind.

How to use your wooden bee
- Crafting with children: Each child paints their own bee. In the end, a whole swarm of colourful one-offs buzzes through the children's room or the nursery corridor.
- For spring and summer decor: Hang a few bees in different sizes in the window. The view outside instantly looks more cheerful.
- On a gift: As a tag with a handwritten name, it turns a simple parcel into a little Mother's Day highlight or a special small present.
- On a door wreath: Attached between twigs and flowers, the honeybee greets guests right at the front door.
- In your shop: Whether it's a farm shop, a beekeeper's stall at the weekly market or a café counter – with sets of 10 or more, you can decorate shelves and displays in a uniform way. Setting up is quick, too.
Good to know about the bee
The bee has long been a symbol of hard work, community and nature in bloom. There's a reason we call someone a "busy bee". That is why the motif suits spring and garden decor so well. It is also a good fit for thank-you gifts and for craft projects about nature and the environment at nursery and school.
Care & durability
There isn't much you need to do. As the plywood is untreated, it is best to keep the bee dry and protect it from constant moisture. If you want to make it more durable, you can paint, oil or glaze it as you like. That way your decoration keeps looking good for a long time.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the wooden bee? Yes. The plywood is untreated and takes paint, glue and oils well. It is ideal for painting, sticking things on and decorating.
Are both sides designed? No. The top shows the face and outlines as laser-scored lines. The back is left plain and gives you a blank surface.
Why do the bees look slightly different? Wood is a purely natural material. Shade, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece. This makes every bee unique.
Where does the brown edge come from? The bee is laser-cut. The brown edge is created during laser cutting and is part of its typical appearance.
Is the bee also available in larger quantities? Yes. As well as single pieces, you can order sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100. This is handy for children's groups, schools or shop decor.
A wooden cutout is just the beginning. The best part is the moment your self-painted bee hangs in the window and spring has arrived at your home. Just choose your size – and get started.
