Why this wooden bee makes a difference in everyday life
Ready-made decorations often look the same everywhere. A wooden bee you design yourself tells your own story instead. Put it in the window, in a spring wreath or as a small greeting on the laid table. The warm wood tone brings calm and a natural feel to the room. Children and adults take to the motif straight away.
Material & finish
The bee is laser cut from 3 mm plywood in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The laser cut gives smooth edges and the typical brown rim. This rim outlines the motif with a fine contour. The top side has contour cuts showing the face and lines. The underside is left natural. The wood is untreated – neither varnished nor glazed. So it takes paint, glue and oil well. Wood is a natural material, so every bee turns out a little differently. Varying shades, fine grain patterns and small knots are part of it. They make every piece one of a kind.

How to use the wooden bee
- Crafting with children: everyone paints their own bee. In the end, a whole row of windows buzzes with one-of-a-kind yellow and black bees.
- For the spring wreath on your door: tuck two or three small bees between the flowers. The wreath instantly looks livelier and more playful.
- As table decoration for a birthday or an indoor garden party: place a small bee at every seat. Your guests have something to smile about before the first bite.
- In a farm shop, café or on the honey shelf: large bees up to 50 cm wide mark your range. Customers can spot regional products at a glance.
- For nursery, school or craft group: with sets of 10 or more, every child has their own bee in hand. You don't need to buy extra ones individually.
Good to know about the bee
For centuries, the bee has stood for hard work, community and nature in bloom. That is why the motif suits spring decorations and garden and harvest themes so well. It also fits wherever honey, regional products and a love of nature matter, from the beekeeper's stall to shop decorations.
Care & durability
There is not much you need to do. The bee is intended for indoor use and will look good there for a long time. Keep the untreated wood dry and protect it from constant moisture. If you also paint or oil it, you give the surface a little extra protection along the way.
