- You'll find the right size for every purpose. Choose from 5 cm for a jam jar up to 50 cm for a sign at your market stall, in 1 cm steps.
- No need to keep reordering small amounts. The label is available singly or as a set of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
Why this wooden BIO label makes a difference every day
A hand-lettered wooden sign says something different from a sticker. The matt wood surface and the curved BIO shape look calm and honest – just like the things you label with it. At the buffet, at the market stall or on a gift, it shows at first glance that your homemade goods are something special. And when you craft with children or work on your own decorating project, the plain cutout quickly becomes a little one-off.
Material & finish
The label is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. This gives it smooth edges with the typical brown rim. The rim gives the sign a fine outline, with no finishing needed. The surface is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. That's why it takes paint, pens and oil well. Every piece is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. Wood is a natural material. It may turn out lighter or darker and show small variations in the grain or the occasional knot. That's what makes every label unique – no two are alike.

How to use the BIO label
- When making preserves: put a labelled tag on the jar. Everyone knows straight away whether it's strawberry or cherry before the lid comes off.
- At the market stall or in the bakery: label baked goods and homemade products with matching wooden signs. The counter looks tidy, and customers take in your range at a glance.
- At the buffet: place a sign in front of each bowl, quickly written on with a chalk or paint pen. Your guests don't have to ask what's being served.
- Crafting with children: paint it, stick things on, thread a ribbon through. At the end, every child holds their own little sign.
- On gifts: use a wooden label with a personal message instead of a paper tag. It's a tag that gets kept after unwrapping.
Good to know about the BIO symbol
The syllable “bio” comes from the Greek word “bios” – life. Today, few symbols stand for naturalness and authenticity as strongly as this one. That's why the label shape suits homemade, preserved and local products so well. The sign tells people what it's about through its shape alone, even before you've written on it.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Keep the untreated wood dry and avoid constant moisture. That way it keeps its natural look for a long time. If you want to use the label outdoors or somewhere damp, you can paint or oil it first. This keeps the surface protected.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the label or stick things on it? Yes. The plywood has a natural finish, so it's neither varnished nor glazed. You can paint it, stick things on it, coat it or oil it.
How do I hang the label? There's a small hole in the right leaf tip. Simply thread cord, ribbon or wire through it and attach it to a jar, basket or gift.
Why does the label have a brown rim? The label is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown rim on the smooth edges. It's a feature of the production process, not a fault.
Do all labels look the same? The shape does, the wood not quite. As a natural material, it may be lighter or darker and can show small variations in the grain or knots. Every piece is unique.
Which size suits my project? For jars and gifts, the small widths from 5 cm are usually enough. For signs at a buffet or market stall, choose one of the larger sizes – up to 50 cm, in 1 cm steps.
Picture someone picking up your jar and reading the label. They realise straight away: there's something homemade inside. Simply choose your size and quantity – you design the rest.
