Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. The evenings are drawing in, and a pumpkin lantern is already flickering in the window. Only the flowerpot by the door still looks like summer. With this wooden flower stake featuring a flying Halloween witch, you bring the motif of the season straight into your planting. Just push it into the soil and you're done. Small in a pot on the windowsill or large in the flower bed: the witch is made for your Halloween decorations.
What changes for you
- Your entrance, balcony or flower bed is ready for Halloween in seconds. You simply push the witch into a flowerpot, planter or bed. No glue or screws needed.
- You design the motif exactly the way you like it. The wood is untreated. You can paint it, stick things on, apply a coat or oil it.
- You'll find the right size for every spot. Choose any height from 10 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You can decorate several pots, a table or a whole sales area in one go. Sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces are available.
- You get a neatly made piece. It is laser-cut with smooth edges and the typical brown edge that gives the motif a clear outline.
Why this flower stake makes a difference every day
Halloween decorations don't have to be elaborate to make an impact. A single, clear motif in your planting changes the first impression. The pot by the front door suddenly looks seasonally decorated. The flower bed tells a little story. And because the wood is untreated, the stake also becomes a craft project. Do it on your own at the kitchen table or with your kids on a rainy autumn afternoon.
Material & finish
The flying witch is laser-cut from 3 mm poplar plywood. This creates smooth edges and the typical brown edge that brings out the silhouette. The wood is untreated. It is neither varnished nor glazed, and it takes paint, glue or oil well. As a natural material, each piece has its own shade, fine patterns in the grain and sometimes small knots. That makes every flower stake one of a kind. It is made in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the flower stake
- By the front door: a large witch in a planter next to the pumpkin. Visitors can see at the entrance that you celebrate Halloween.
- Crafting with kids: everyone paints their own witch. In the end, each flowerpot on the windowsill holds a little work of art.
- At a Halloween party: several stakes of different heights in pots along the buffet. The table gets a consistent theme without much setting up.
- In a café or farm shop: a set of witches in the planters by the entrance or on the counter. Seasonal shop decorations that are up in a few minutes and just as quickly packed away.
- As a small gift: a painted witch in a mini pot. A seasonal present that doesn't look mass-produced.
Good to know about the witch
The witch on a broomstick has long been one of the best-known Halloween motifs. The name Halloween comes from “All Hallows' Eve”, the evening before All Saints' Day. That's why the silhouette works so well as a decoration. Everyone recognises it at first glance, whether small in a pot or large in a flower bed.
Care & durability
There isn't much you need to do. Indoors and in sheltered spots, the untreated wood stays looking good for a long time. If the witch is to stand up to wind and weather outdoors in a bed or planter, it's worth painting, varnishing or oiling it first. This protects the wood, and you can enjoy the motif for longer. Avoid constant moisture with untreated wood.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the flower stake? Yes. The wood is untreated. You can stick things on it, apply a coat, oil it or paint it in colours of your choice. Ideal for crafting and decorating.
Is the witch suitable for outdoor use? It is designed as a plant stake for flowerpots, planters and flower beds. As the wood is untreated, we recommend a coat of paint or oil as weather protection for permanent outdoor use.
Why does the motif have a brown edge? The stake is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge that brings out the outline of the flying witch. The edges are smooth.
Do all stakes look the same? The shape is identical, the wood is not. As a natural material, it varies in shade and grain and sometimes has small knots. Every piece is one of a kind.
What matters is more than a piece of plywood. It's the moment when children stand at your door in the evening. They spot the witch in the flowerpot and know: Halloween is taken seriously here. Just choose your height and quantity. You design the rest.
