Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. It's New Year's Eve. Your guests will be here any minute. On the table, a little wooden lucky pig peeks out of the flower pot. Often that's all it takes to raise a smile. This wooden pig flower stake goes into a pot, flower bed or planter in seconds. It turns a simple bunch of flowers into a little lucky charm, just right for your gift. The wood is untreated. So you can paint the pig first, stick things on it or simply leave it natural.
What changes for you
- You give more than flowers: you give a lucky charm. The lucky pig plant stake turns any pot into a personal gift.
- You get a great shape for crafting and painting. The untreated plywood takes paint, glue and oil with ease.
- Your stake really fits your pot or flower bed. You choose any height from 10 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- No need to sand the edges. The laser cut leaves smooth edges with the typical brown rim as a fine outline.
- You're also ready for bigger projects. The stake comes single or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
Why this wooden flower stake makes a difference every day
A flower pot is nice. With a little pig in it, it becomes a gesture. As a small gift, table decoration or in the flower bed, the motif speaks of luck and good wishes without a word. And because you design it yourself, every stake shows your own touch instead of a shop-bought look.
Material & finish
The lucky pig is laser cut from 3 mm plywood. It is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The laser cut leaves smooth edges and the typical brown rim that neatly frames the motif. It is cleanly finished, with no sharp burrs. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. So you can paint it, oil it or stick things on it straight away. As a purely natural material, it varies in shade, shows fine grain patterns and now and then small knots. This makes every piece one of a kind and is not a defect.

- For New Year's Eve: put a painted lucky pig in a pot of lucky clover at every place. Your guests start the new year with a personal lucky charm.
- Crafting with children: every child paints their own pig. At the end, they proudly take home a plant stake they designed themselves.
- As an extra with flowers: pop the pig into the pot you give for a birthday. The flowers become a gift with a message.
- For gifts of money: fold the notes, fix them to the stake and put it in the planter. Your money gift is ready, and it won't disappear in an envelope.
- In a flower shop, café or at the market: with sets of 10 or more, you can decorate potted plants for the season in the same style. Quick to put in, a uniform look and a small extra for your customers.
Good to know about the lucky pig
In German-speaking countries, the pig has been a symbol of wealth and luck for centuries. The saying “Schwein gehabt” (literally "had pig", meaning "got lucky") still reminds people of this today. That's why the motif is a classic for New Year's Eve and New Year. But it suits exams, house moves or any occasion when you want to wish someone luck just as well.
Care & durability
There isn't much to do. In a dry place, the untreated wood stays looking good for a long time. If needed, simply wipe it with a dry cloth. Avoid constant moisture. If the stake is to stay in damp soil or outdoors for longer, protect it with paint, varnish or oil. That way you'll enjoy it for longer.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the lucky pig or stick things on it? Yes. The plywood is untreated. You can paint it, oil it, stick things on it or decorate it in other ways. Ideal for crafting, including with children.
Is the flower stake suitable for outdoor use? Untreated, it is best kept in a dry place. For flower beds or outdoors, we recommend a protective coat, as constant moisture damages the natural wood.
Why don't all the stakes look the same? Wood is a natural material. Shade, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece. This isn't a fault. It makes every stake one of a kind.
How wide is the pig at my chosen height? As a guide: at a height of 10 cm, the motif is 3.4 cm wide. The width grows in proportion to the height you choose.
It's only a piece of plywood. But someone spots your little lucky pig in the flower pot and knows: someone was thinking of me. Simply choose your height and quantity. You design the rest.
