Material & finish

The cutout is made of 3 mm thick plywood. It is laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. Lasering leaves the typical fine brown edge that traces the outline neatly. The edges are smooth and the finish is careful, so you can work on the motif straight away. Wood is a natural material. Its lightness and grain always vary a little, and small knots may occur. This makes every piece unique and is not a defect.

Is the wood treated? No, the cutout is left natural – neither varnished nor stained. So you can paint it, stick things on it, coat it or oil it straight away.

Why does the cutout have a brown edge? The bus is laser-cut. This creates the typical dark edge along the outline. It is part of the process and also gives smooth edges without any finishing work.

Do all cutouts look the same? The shape is identical, the wood is not. As a natural material, plywood shows different shades, grain patterns and occasionally small knots. This is normal and makes every piece unique.

Which size suits my project? Small widths from 3 cm work well for table scatter and tags. Medium sizes suit table decorations. For shop windows or wall decorations, choose the large cutouts up to 50 cm. You can select the width in 1 cm steps.
