An afternoon at the craft table, with brushes and paints at the ready. The children are already waiting for their shape. That's exactly what this wooden chameleon is made for. It's a laser-cut plywood silhouette with its face and outlines already finely scored. All you need is paint, glue or oil. Then the plain cutout becomes your very own chameleon.

What changes for you

  • You can start decorating straight away without drawing anything first. The outlines and face are already laser-scored on the top side.
  • You choose the size yourself, from small table scatter to a large wall figure. Widths range from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • Your craft project stays relaxed, even with little hands. The laser-cut edges are smooth and don't need sanding.
  • You're free to decorate it however you like. The untreated wood can be painted, decorated with stickers or glue, coated or oiled.
  • You can plan bigger projects without extra effort. Order singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces.

Why this wooden chameleon makes a difference in everyday life

A jungle party in the children's room, an animal project in the classroom or decoration around the terrarium – with a ready-made wooden shape, you skip the cutting out. You get straight to the fun part: decorating. The light plywood makes bright colours stand out strongly. It gives the shape a clear base for painting. So an idea turns into a result more quickly – one you'll be happy to show off.

Material & finish

The chameleon is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. This gives it the typical brown edge – a characteristic feature that gives the shape depth. The top side shows the fine scored outlines. The underside is left natural. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. Paint and glue stick to it particularly well. Every cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia, and is carefully finished. Wood is a purely natural material, so every piece turns out a little different. Variations in shade, fine grain patterns or small knots are not flaws. They make your chameleon one of a kind.

How to use the wooden chameleon

  • Crafting with kids: every child paints their own chameleon in their favourite colours. At the end, they proudly take their self-designed animal home.
  • For a jungle party in the children's room: scatter small chameleons across the birthday table. The animal theme then runs through the whole party.
  • As a large wall figure: painted and hung up at 50 cm wide, the chameleon fills the wall above the child's bed or next to the terrarium.
  • In the classroom or nursery: during an animal project, each group decorates its own shape. The finished window display then tells the story of your shared theme.
  • For businesses and organisations: with sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces, you can supply craft groups, holiday programmes or shop window displays without ordering individually.

Good to know about the chameleon

The chameleon is famous for changing its colours. Hardly any animal stands for change and imagination quite like it. That's exactly why the shape is so good for painting. You decide which colours your chameleon wears, and no two results are the same.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. As the wood is untreated, it's best kept dry and protected from constant moisture. Oiling or painting it seals the surface as well. That way your shape stays looking good for a long time.

Frequently asked questions

Can I paint the chameleon or stick things on it? Yes. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. It can be painted, decorated with glue, coated or oiled.

Why does the shape have a brown edge? The chameleon is laser-cut. The brown edge is a typical result of this. It also gives you smooth edges.

Do all cutouts look the same? The shape is always identical, but the wood isn't. As a natural material, it shows variations in shade, fine grain patterns and occasionally small knots. Every piece is one of a kind.

How tall is the chameleon at a given width? As a reference: at 10 cm wide, the height is 8 cm. The height scales in proportion to the width you choose.

Are both sides decorated? The top side has the scored outlines with face and lines. The underside is left natural.

This wooden cutout is made for one moment: when a child holds up their finished, painted chameleon and beams. Just choose your width and quantity – and you're ready for the next crafting afternoon.
