The dachshund is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood in our own production in Pößneck. The laser cut creates the typical brown edge, which gives the motif a finely drawn outline. The edges are smooth and the finish is clean. The wood is untreated, not varnished or glazed. That's why it takes paints, stains and oils well. As a natural material, it shows varying shades, fine structures in the grain and occasionally small knots. These aren't flaws. They are exactly what makes every piece unique.
