The underside is left plain. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor stained. That's why it takes paint, glue or oil well. Wood is a purely natural material, so every piece turns out a little different. Variations in shade, small knots and fine structures in the grain are not a defect. They make every piece unique. The cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.
