The children's birthday party is coming up, and the theme is clear: knights and dragons. All that's missing is the right decoration. That's where this wooden dragon head comes in. It's made for your next afternoon of crafting. You paint, decorate or stick things on the silhouette, just as you like. The result is a dragon head decoration that exists only once.

What changes for you

  • You design it freely to your own ideas – because the plywood is untreated. You can paint it, stick things on it, coat it or oil it.
  • Your decoration fits exactly where you want it – thanks to a choice of heights from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps. From a small hanging decoration to a large wall piece.
  • You can get started right away, with no sanding or finishing – the laser-cut edges are smooth and cleanly cut.
  • You can easily kit out bigger projects too, such as a whole birthday party or a market stall. The dragon head comes singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.

Why this dragon head makes a difference in everyday life

Ready-made decorations look the same everywhere. A wooden blank, on the other hand, lets you create something that carries your own style. Paint it in bright colours with children or leave it in its natural wood look. A simple cutout becomes a piece that belongs to your occasion and your home.

Material & finish

The silhouette is made of 3 mm plywood and laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck. That's where the typical brown edge comes from. It gives the motif a clear, defined outline. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. It takes paint and glue well. As a purely natural material, it varies in shade, shows fine grain patterns and occasionally has small knots. This makes every piece unique – it's not a defect.

How to use the dragon head

  • At a knights and dragons birthday party: every child paints their own dragon head. At the end, they take home a keepsake they designed themselves.
  • For the first day of school: a little dragon decorates the school cone or a place at the breakfast table. It brings shining eyes even before the big day.
  • In the children's room: combine several sizes to create a dragon family on the wall. A bare wall turns into a little fantasy world.
  • For medieval markets, club events or themed evenings: large silhouettes up to 50 cm mark your stall or stage. They're quick to put up and easy to spot from a distance.
  • At school, nursery or craft group: with sets of 10 or more, every child has their own blank. You don't have to spend time sawing them out beforehand.

Good to know about dragons

The dragon is one of the oldest mythical creatures of all. In Europe, it stands for adventure and tales of knights. In Asia, it's traditionally seen as a lucky charm and a sign of strength. That's why the motif suits children's birthday parties and fantasy decorations just as well as medieval festivals. It also makes a small good-luck gift.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. As the wood is untreated, it's best kept dry – avoid constant moisture. A dry cloth is enough for dusting. If you paint or oil the surface, your motif will stay looking good for a long time.

Frequently asked questions

Is the wood treated? No, the cutout is left natural – neither varnished nor glazed. You can paint, decorate, coat or oil it straight away.

Where does the brown edge come from? The dragon head is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge, which gives the motif a clear outline. The edges are smooth and clean.

How wide is the cutout? The width depends on the height you choose. For example, at a height of 10 cm it is 9 cm wide.

Does every piece look the same? The shape is identical, the wood isn't. As a natural material, it varies in shade and grain and sometimes has small knots. Every piece is unique.

A plain silhouette becomes your very own dragon. Painted, decorated and exactly the way you imagined it. Simply choose your height and quantity and get started.
