Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. The carnival party is coming up and the devil costume is almost finished. Only the decorations for the table and windows are still missing. Instead of building a trident yourself, you simply pick up this ready laser-cut wooden trident silhouette. It is cleanly cut, untreated and ready for your colours and ideas. You can paint the plain wooden cutout straight away, stick things on it or decorate it any way you like to match your party.
What changes for you
- You don't need a template, saw or sandpaper. The silhouette is already laser-cut and has clean, smooth edges.
- You can start crafting and painting your trident right away. The wood is untreated and takes paint, glue or oil directly.
- Your decoration fits your project exactly. You can choose any height from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You can kit out larger groups without extra effort. Sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces are available, for example for a nursery group, a school class or a club party.
- You get a piece with character. Wood is a natural material, so every silhouette has its own colouring and texture.
Why this wooden trident makes a difference
A ready-made cutout changes one thing above all: you start straight with the fun part of crafting. No tracing a trident template, no sawing, no finishing off. Instead, you sit at the table with a brush and paint and watch your design take shape. On a garland, a place card or a window picture: the clear silhouette works in all of these places. It fits in with the rest of your decorations.
Material & finish
The trident is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. It is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The laser cut leaves the typical brown edge, which gives the design a fine outline. The edges are smooth, so you can work with the pieces without sanding. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. You can stick things on it, paint it, oil it or leave it natural. As a natural material, wood is never completely uniform. Differences in shade, fine textures in the grain and small knots are normal. They make every piece one of a kind.

How to use the wooden trident
- Carnival crafts with children: every child paints their own trident. In the end, a colourful garland hangs in the group room, and everyone is proud of it.
- For a Halloween party: small tridents on place cards or in a window picture. Your guests are in the mood as soon as they reach the door.
- For a costume: paint a large silhouette and fix it to a stick. That way you don't have to build a trident yourself and still have an accessory that matches your devil costume.
- In a café or shop for the season: paint several silhouettes of the same size quickly and use them as decoration. The counter looks lovingly designed without taking up much working time.
- As table scatter on the party buffet: spread small sizes between the platters. The theme then runs across the whole table.
Good to know about the trident
Since ancient times, the trident has been the symbol of the sea god Poseidon, or Neptune. In popular imagery, it later became the devil's pitchfork. That is exactly why the design works twice over. It suits maritime decorations for Neptune festivities and sea themes. It suits carnival and Halloween just as well.
Care & durability
There isn't much you need to do. Store the cutouts in a dry place, as untreated wood doesn't like constant moisture. Painting or oiling the pieces gives the surface extra protection. That way, your decorations stay ready to use for many seasons.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the trident or stick things on it? Yes. The plywood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. You can coat it, paint it, oil it or stick things on it.
Why does the cutout have a brown edge? The silhouette is laser-cut. This creates the typical dark edge, which gives the design a clear outline. The edges are smooth.
How wide is the trident? The width depends on the height you choose. At a height of 10 cm it is 2.5 cm. The other sizes are in proportion.
Do all cutouts look the same? The shape is identical, the wood is not. As a natural material, it shows differences in shade, fine textures and occasionally small knots. Every piece is one of a kind.
A piece of plywood turns into an afternoon at the kitchen table. There is painting, gluing and laughing. Afterwards, the decorations simply become part of the party. Just choose your height and quantity, and you design the rest.
