The oak leaf is made of 3 mm plywood. It is laser-cut in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck, Thuringia. It is cleanly finished with smooth edges, so nobody gets splinters. The top side shows the fine contour cut. The underside is left natural. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. That's why paints, glue and oils adhere reliably. As a natural material, every leaf has its own structure. Different shades, small knots or fine irregularities in the grain are not a defect. They make every piece unique.

Can I paint the oak leaf or stick things on it? Yes. The plywood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed – so paints, varnishes, oils and glues adhere well.

What is the brown rim on the edges? That's the typical edge left by laser cutting. It's part of the manufacturing process and also ensures smooth edges with no further finishing needed.

Are the leaf outlines visible on both sides? No. The scored outline is on the top side; the underside is left natural.

Why don't all the leaves look the same? Wood is a natural material: variations in shade, fine textures and small knots are normal and make every piece unique.
