The craft table is set. Paints and brushes are ready. Now all you need is a design that excites little hands as much as it excites you. This plywood house is just right for your crafting afternoon. It's a detached house cutout with finely laser-cut outlines on the windows, doors and roof. They make painting noticeably easier. Use it as a little house for the windowsill, as Christmas decoration or as a small gift. With just a few steps, the raw wood becomes your very own home in miniature.

What changes for you

  • You get a lovely result faster. The laser-cut outlines on the windows, doors and roof guide your painting line by line.
  • You're free to get creative. Stick things on, paint it, oil it or leave it natural. The wood is untreated and takes any paint well.
  • You'll find the right size for every idea. The house comes in heights from 5 to 40 cm in 5 cm steps. Use it as a gift tag or as a decoration for the window.
  • Crafting with children stays relaxed. The edges are laser-cut and smooth. There's no sanding needed and no splinters when little hands pick it up.

Why this wooden house makes a difference in everyday life

Shop-bought decorations look the same everywhere. A house you've designed yourself tells your story. Paint it in your family colours for the chest of drawers. Decorate the window with it for each season. Or let it become a favourite project when crafting with children. The simple shape leaves room for your own ideas. Its smooth, light wooden surface fits easily into your home. And because you choose the size, it fits your space – not the other way round.

Material & finish

The detached house is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. This gives it the typical brown edge, which creates a clear, finished outline. The cut edges are smooth and the finish is clean. Every house is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. You can paint it, stick things on it or oil it straight away. Wood is a natural material and never completely uniform. Differences in shade, fine grain patterns and small knots are part of it. They make every piece one of a kind.

How to use the wooden house

  • Crafting with children at the weekend: each child paints their own dream house. At the end, there's a whole street on the windowsill.
  • Making Christmas decorations: several houses in different sizes make a little winter town. Put fairy lights behind it for a cosy atmosphere.
  • As a personal housewarming gift: paint the house in the colours of the new home. It's a gift that lasts.
  • In a café, bakery or at a market stall: write on the house with a chalk pen and use it in the shop window or on the counter. It becomes a sign for your offers. It's quick to set up and you can redesign it again and again.
  • At nursery or primary school: an affordable craft project with clear outlines. Even little hands can create something they're proud of.

Good to know about plywood

Plywood is made of several layers of wood glued crosswise. That's why it stays stable and hardly warps, even at just 3 mm thick. For you, this means the house stays straight after painting or decorating. It stands or hangs neatly in your display for a long time.

Care & durability

There's not much to do. Just wipe off dust with a dry cloth. As the wood is untreated, protect it from constant moisture. If you want to use the house outdoors, give it a protective coat of paint, varnish or oil. That way it keeps its shape and the open-pored look of the plywood for a long time.

Frequently asked questions

Is the wood treated? No, the plywood is left natural – neither varnished nor stained. You can paint, decorate, coat or oil it straight away.

Where does the brown edge come from? The house is laser-cut. The brown edge is typical of this cutting method. It also gives you smooth edges and a clear outline.

Can I use the wooden house outdoors? Untreated, it belongs indoors. For outdoor use, protect it from moisture with paint, varnish or oil.

Why does my house look different from the picture? Wood is a natural material. Shade, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece. This makes every house one of a kind.

Are the outlines pre-marked? Yes, the windows, doors and roof are finely laser-cut. This makes painting much easier, for children too.

In one afternoon, a raw piece of plywood becomes your little house. And you'll see it every time you walk past. Just choose the size and design. You do the rest.
