Material & finish

The silhouette is made of 3 mm thick plywood and laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck. Laser cutting creates the typical brown edge that neatly frames the motif. You also get smooth edges and clean workmanship. The wood is untreated, not varnished or glazed. That's why paints, glues and oils adhere well. As a natural material, wood varies in shade. Sometimes it shows a livelier grain, sometimes small knots. This isn't a flaw. It makes every piece one of a kind.
