It gets dark early outside, and the craft box is out on the table. Now you need a motif that says winter straight away. This moose cutout in 3 mm poplar plywood is just right for that. It comes ready cut, with an etched face. You can paint it, stick things on it or simply use it as decoration. An ordinary afternoon turns into Christmas crafting with the whole family.

What changes for you

  • You can start straight away, with no sawing. The moose arrives cleanly laser-cut with smooth edges.
  • Your Christmas decoration has a finished face, even without a brush. Laser-etched lines mark the eyes and outlines on the top side.
  • Design it exactly the way you imagine – the untreated wood can be painted, decorated with glued-on details, varnished or oiled.
  • You will find the right size for every spot, from a small hanging decoration to a large figure. You can choose the width from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • When you craft with children or in a group, there is enough for everyone. Sets come with 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces.

Why this moose cutout makes a difference in everyday life

A motif made of real wood looks different from plastic decorations. It is calmer, warmer and more natural. Hang the moose in the window or lay it on the table. The room feels wintry straight away, without much decorating. And if you design it yourself, every piece has a bit of you in it.

Material & finish

The moose is laser-cut from 3 mm poplar plywood in our own production in Pößneck. The laser leaves smooth edges without splinters. They feel pleasant in the hand, small hands included. The laser also creates the typical brown edge, which gives the motif a fine outline. The top side carries the laser-etched face. The underside is left natural. The wood is untreated, not varnished or glazed. This means paint, glue and oil adhere well. Wood is a natural material and never completely uniform. Differences in shade, grain patterns and small knots are normal. They make every piece one of a kind.

How to use the moose

  • Christmas crafts with children: everyone gets a moose to paint. In the end, a little herd hangs in the window, and everyone is proud of it.
  • On the Advent wreath or the Christmas table: one moose per place setting, left natural or decorated. Your guests have something to discover before the meal.
  • As a gift tag or for making money gifts: a small moose turns a plain envelope into a loving surprise.
  • For Christmas cards: stick on a small moose. A simple card becomes a greeting with real wood to touch.
  • In a café, bakery or shop: larger moose in the shop window or on the counter bring a wintry mood to your display in a few minutes. With sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces, you can supply craft groups, school classes or your entire shop decoration in one go.

Good to know about the moose

The moose is a symbol of Scandinavia. It is hard to imagine the Nordic world of winter and Christmas without it. That is why the motif suits natural, Scandi-inspired Christmas decorations so well. Use it in the window, on a wreath or as a tag on a present.

Care & durability

There is not much you need to do. Store the untreated wooden cutout in a dry place and keep it away from constant moisture. This way it keeps its shape and is ready to use year after year. If you like, you can protect the surface further with paint or oil.

Frequently asked questions

Can I paint the moose or stick things on it? Yes. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. Paint, glue and oil adhere well.

Why does the moose have a brown edge? The cutout is laser-cut. This creates the typical dark edge. The laser also leaves smooth edges without splinters.

Are both sides the same? No. The top side shows the laser-etched face. The underside is left natural.

Does every moose look exactly the same? The shape does, the wood not quite. As a natural material, it shows differences in shade, grain patterns and sometimes small knots. That is what makes every piece unique.

This is more than a plywood cutout. It is about the afternoon spent painting and gluing at the kitchen table. And about the moment the finished moose hangs in the window for the first time. Just choose your size and quantity. You design the rest.
