Christmas elf wooden decoration – cutout 5–50 cm

The Advent wreath is up and the candles are lit. But the window, the gift wrapping or the craft table still needs a figure. This wooden Christmas elf decoration is made for exactly that. It is a clear silhouette in plywood. You can paint it, stick things on it or simply stand it up as it is. In just a few minutes, a plain cutout becomes your own Christmas decoration.

Material & finish

The elf is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood and has the typical brown edge. This fine outline gives the silhouette extra depth. The edges are smooth and the finish is clean. You can pick up the cutout and start working on it right away. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. That is why paints, glues and oils adhere particularly well. Wood is a natural material, so every elf turns out slightly different. Some are lighter, some darker, each with its own grain and occasionally small knots. This makes every piece one of a kind.

How to use the Christmas elf

Making Christmas decorations with children: every child paints their own elf. In the end, a whole colourful band of elves hangs in the window.
On the Christmas table: a small elf at every place, with a name written on it. Your guests find their place card before the first course arrives.
On presents: a mini elf on a ribbon instead of the usual bow. Your parcel stands out under the tree straight away.
In a café, bakery or at a market stall: place several elves in different sizes around the counter or in the shop window. This gives you a uniform Christmas display that is quick to set up. Thanks to the sets, it also pays off for several branches.

Frequently asked questions

Can I paint the elf or stick things on it? Yes. The wood is untreated and takes paint, glue and oil well. You can easily varnish, paint, decorate or oil it.

Why does the elf have a brown edge? The cutout is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge with smooth edges. No sanding is needed.

How wide is the elf at the height I choose? For reference: at a height of 10 cm, the width is 6 cm. All other sizes are in proportion.

Do all the elves look exactly the same? The shape is identical, but the wood is not. As a natural material, it can be lighter or darker and may show small knots or differences in the grain. This is not a defect. It makes every piece unique.

Is the elf suitable for outdoor use? The wood is untreated. For outdoor use, you should protect it yourself with paint or oil and avoid constant moisture.
