Spring is just around the corner. The craft table is set with paints and brushes. And the children can hardly wait. This wooden duckling is a figure made for your next crafting afternoon. It is a clear silhouette in untreated plywood. You can paint it, decorate it and design it just the way you like. With a few simple steps, it becomes spring and Easter decoration that looks like you – not like mass-produced goods.

What changes for you

  • You can start crafting straight away, with no sanding or cutting. The duckling arrives laser-cut with smooth edges.
  • Your paints, glues and oils hold reliably. The wood stays untreated in its natural state. There is no varnish or glaze to get in the way.
  • You can find exactly the size that suits your idea. Choose from 3 cm for table scatter up to 50 cm for the shop window, in 1 cm steps.
  • Your craft project for a larger group won't fail for lack of material. With sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100, every child gets their own duckling.
  • You get clean quality from a single source. Every duckling is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

Why this wooden duckling makes a difference every day

Ready-made decorations often look the same everywhere. A duckling you have designed yourself tells a little story. It might be about an afternoon with the children, an idea for the Easter table or a lovingly decorated market stall. The silhouette is simple and clear, so it works with any design. Paint it in bright colours, leave it natural or just add a little bow. That way you create a spring mood that is truly your own.

Material & finish

The duckling is made from 3 mm plywood and is laser-cut. That is why it has smooth edges and the typical brown edge. This edge gives the motif a finely drawn outline. The surface is untreated, so it is neither varnished nor glazed. It takes paint, glue and oil well and feels pleasantly natural in your hand. Wood is a purely natural material. Variations in shade, small irregularities in the grain or fine knots are normal. They make each piece one of a kind, not a flaw.

How to use the duckling

  • Crafting with children: Every child paints their own duckling. At the end of the afternoon, everyone proudly holds a little work of art.
  • On the Easter table: Scatter small ducklings between plates and napkins. The spring table instantly looks lovingly laid.
  • At your guests' places: Use a duckling with a name on it as a place card or small gift. It's a detail people remember.
  • In the shop window or at the market stall: Place large cutouts of up to 50 cm as silhouettes. Passers-by will notice your spring and Easter goods from a distance.
  • In nursery, school or craft class: With the set of 25, 50 or 100, you have identical blanks for the whole group. No cutting, no preparation.

Good to know about the duckling

Chicks have always been classic symbols of spring and Easter. They stand for new life and the start of the brighter season. That is why the motif fits so well into the period from March to May. Use it as Easter table decoration, as a craft motif in spring or as seasonal shop decoration.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Keep the untreated wood dry and protect it from constant moisture. This keeps the surface smooth and the shape stable. If you want to display the duckling outdoors or in a damp setting, paint or oil it first. The natural wood takes both well.

Frequently asked questions

Can I paint or decorate the duckling? Yes. The wood is untreated and in its natural state. You can paint it, oil it, stick things on it or decorate it however you like.

Why is the edge brown? The duckling is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge, which gives the motif a clear outline. The edges are smooth and don't need sanding.

Do all ducklings look the same? The shape is identical, the wood is not. As a natural material, it shows different shades, fine grain and occasionally small knots. Every piece is one of a kind.

How wide is the duckling? The width depends on the height you choose. For reference: at a height of 10 cm, the duckling is 9 cm wide.

Is the duckling suitable for outdoor use? Untreated, it belongs in dry rooms. With a coat of paint or oil, you can prepare it for sheltered spots outdoors.

What counts is the afternoon when a plain duckling becomes your very own spring decoration. And the Easter table where everyone notices it later. Simply choose your size and quantity. The rest happens at your home.
