Why this wooden aspen leaf makes a difference
Shop-bought decorations often look the same everywhere. A wooden leaf you've designed yourself tells your story instead. You decide on the colour, the size and how to use it. What ends up in the window, on a branch or on a gift is something nobody else has. The light plywood also shows a fine grain that works in any room at any time of year.
Material & finish
The aspen leaf is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. That's where the typical, slightly browned edge comes from, which brings out the leaf shape. The edges are cut smooth, so you can pick the leaf up and work with it straight away. The wood is completely untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. That makes it ideal for painting, oiling or sticking things on. As a natural material, wood is never completely uniform. Differences in shade, fine textures and small knots are part of it and make every piece unique. The cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

- For DIY Christmas decorations: paint small leaves white or gold, drill a hole and thread a ribbon through. Your homemade tree decoration is ready.
- As a gift tag: write a name on the leaf and every parcel becomes a personal gift. It also works well for creative ways to give money.
- For table and autumn decorations: scatter several leaves in different sizes across the table or hang them from branches. The room instantly looks seasonal.
- In a shop or café: use large leaves from 30 cm as autumn window or counter decorations. They're quick to set up and last a long time. In a set, you can order the quantity you need at a good price.
Good to know about the aspen leaf
The aspen is famous for its leaves. Its leaf stalks are flattened at the sides, so the leaves move in even the faintest breeze. That's where the saying "to tremble like an aspen leaf" comes from. As a decorative motif, the aspen leaf stands for lightness and nature. It works well for autumn decorations, window decorations and nature-themed table settings.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Keep the untreated wood dry and away from constant moisture, and it will keep its shape and look good for a long time. If you want to use it outdoors, paint or oil it first. This gives it better protection from the weather.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the aspen leaf? Yes. The wood is untreated and can be painted, oiled, decorated or written on. Acrylic paints, coloured pencils and craft glue all hold well on the natural surface.
Where does the brown edge come from? The leaf is laser-cut. This creates the typical, slightly browned edge that brings out the outline. The edges are cut smooth and clean.
Do all the leaves look the same? The shape is identical, the wood is not. As a natural material, every leaf has its own grain, different shades and sometimes small knots. That's exactly what makes every piece one of a kind.
Can the leaf be used outdoors? Untreated, it belongs indoors. With a coat of paint or oil, you can prepare it for sheltered outdoor areas.
This is more than a wooden cutout. It's the moment a plain leaf becomes your very own decoration. Painted at the kitchen table, hung in the window, given away with a name on it. Just choose your size and quantity and get started.
