Material & finish

The fairy is laser-cut from 3 mm thick plywood. It is made in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck, Thuringia. Laser cutting creates clean, smooth edges and the typical brown rim. This rim gives the figure a fine, defined outline. The wood is untreated. It is neither varnished nor glazed, so it is open to whatever you have planned: painting, oiling, gluing or decorating. As a natural material, wood is never completely uniform. Brightness, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece. That makes every fairy one of a kind, not faulty.
