Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. The row of houses on your model railway is in place. The façade of the little church is painted. But it's the windows that turn a shell into a proper building. That's exactly what these semi-circular wooden windows are made for. They are finely laser-cut arched windows in 23 designs, ready for your next small-scale project. Nativity stable, light-up house or decorative frame – a semi-circular window gives any façade depth and life.
What changes for you
- You'll find the right window for every building without having to saw anything yourself. There are 23 different designs: single casement, double casement, with and without glazing bars.
- Your model stays true to scale. You can choose the exact height from 3 to 12 cm in 1 cm steps.
- Design it just the way you want. The unfinished wood can be glued, painted, oiled or decorated.
- You can carry on working neatly without sanding. The laser cut gives smooth edges and fine contours.
Why a semi-circular window makes a difference
A round arch shapes even the smallest façade with its curve. Churches, old railway stations and town houses are defined by this arched form. With semi-circular windows, your buildings look less like a craft project and more like miniature architecture. And because you can combine design and size freely, you can build a row of houses where no two windows have to be the same.
Material & finish
Each window is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. This gives the cut edges their typical brown rim. It brings out the contours and gives the glazing bars fine definition. The surface is unfinished, neither varnished nor stained. It takes paint, oil or glue reliably. Wood is a natural material. Shade, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece, so every window is one of a kind. The windows are made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

- Crafting with children: everyone paints their own window. Together you end up with a colourful row of houses for the shelf in the children's room.
- For all kinds of decorations: add small windows to picture frames, display boxes or door wreaths for a playful, handmade look.
- In the shop window or on the counter: painted windows in different sizes let you set up seasonal displays quickly and neatly. They're ready in a few minutes.
Good to know about arched windows
The round arch has shaped European architecture since antiquity. It is the hallmark of Romanesque churches and old town houses. That's why the semi-circular window is ideal if you want to recreate historic buildings. From a village church to an old railway station, the arch instantly looks familiar and authentic.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Stored in a dry place, the unfinished windows keep their natural look for a long time. If you want to protect them permanently or add colour, simply paint or oil them. Keep the raw wood away from constant moisture.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint or glue things onto the windows? Yes. The wood is unfinished and can be glued, painted, oiled or decorated. Paint adheres directly to the raw surface.
Why do the edges have a brown rim? The windows are laser-cut, which creates the typical dark rim on the cut edges. The laser also leaves smooth edges, so no sanding is needed.
Do all the windows look the same? The shape is identical for each design. The wood itself varies in shade and grain. Small knots are normal. As wood is a natural material, every piece is one of a kind.
What sizes are available? You can choose a height between 3 cm and 12 cm in 1 cm steps to match the scale of your project.
A small piece of plywood becomes part of your model. You step back, and your little façade suddenly looks like a real house. Simply choose your design and height – and keep building your miniature world.
