Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. In the children's room, a whole fire brigade should finally drive across the wall. The invitations for the fire brigade party are still waiting for a motif. And you're looking for something you can design yourself. That's exactly what this wooden fire engine is made for. It's a cleanly laser-cut fire engine silhouette in plywood. You can paint it, stick things on it or simply hang it up as it is. A plain cutout becomes your own decoration.
What changes for you
- You can start creating straight away instead of sawing it yourself – because the fire engine arrives ready laser-cut with smooth edges.
- Your colours hold reliably without any prep work – because the wood is untreated and takes paint, oil or glue directly.
- You get exactly the size that suits your idea – from 3 cm for table scatter to 50 cm for the wall, selectable in 1 cm steps.
- Crafting with children becomes more relaxed – because the clear silhouette makes colouring in easy, even for little hands.
- You can kit out larger projects in one go – thanks to sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces.
Why this wooden fire engine makes a difference every day
A wooden fire engine has a calm and warmth that printed cardboard or plastic decorations can't match. Use it on the children's room wall, on the birthday table or on the invitation card. The natural material feels smooth and light. It also looks much warmer than printed cardboard or plastic. And because you design it yourself, you create something that exists only once: your colours, your idea, your fire engine.
Material & finish
The silhouette is made of 3 mm plywood. It is laser-cut in Bütic's own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. This gives it smooth, clean edges with the typical brown rim. The rim gives the motif a finely drawn outline. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor stained. So you can stick things on it, paint it or oil it as you like. Wood is a purely natural material. Brightness and grain vary, and small knots may occur. That makes every piece one of a kind.

How to use the fire engine
- On the nursery wall: combine several sizes to create a complete fire engine fleet – and your child will see their favourite theme every evening.
- For a fire brigade party: scatter small silhouettes across the birthday table as table scatter – and the theme is clear at first glance.
- On invitations and greeting cards: a fire engine glued on turns a simple card into a little gift.
- As a shared craft project: if you'd like to build or design a wooden fire engine yourself, the ready-made cutout lets you skip straight to the best part – painting it fire-engine red.
- For nurseries, youth fire brigades or club events: with sets from 10 pieces, you can supply a whole crafting group without having to reorder individually.
Good to know about the fire engine
The bright red of the fire brigade is no coincidence. As a signal colour, it stands out from a distance. For generations, it has stood for quick help. That's why it's so much fun to paint the untreated silhouette in classic fire-engine red. Add white windows and a silver ladder. The plain wooden cutout then gets clear outlines and depth.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do: simply dust it off dry when needed. As the wood is untreated, it shouldn't stay damp for long periods – so it's perfectly suited to indoor use; if it's going outdoors, a coat of paint or glaze will protect the surface. That way, your decoration will look good for a long time.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint or decorate the fire engine? Yes. The plywood is untreated and takes paint, oil and glue directly – ideal for painting, embellishing and decorating.
Why does the silhouette have a brown edge? The motif is laser-cut. This creates the typical dark edge that neatly emphasises the outline – not a flaw, but part of the manufacturing process.
Do all cutouts look the same? The shape is identical, the wood isn't: as a natural material, it varies in brightness and grain, and small knots are possible. Every piece is unique.
Can I combine different sizes? Yes, the width can be chosen from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps – several sizes together make up a complete fire engine fleet.
Is the decoration suitable for outdoors? The wood is untreated and shouldn't stay damp for long periods. For outdoor use, we recommend applying a protective coat first.
In the end, it's not about a wooden cutout. It's about the moment your child spots their own hand-painted fire engine fleet on the wall – and beams. Simply choose your size and quantity, and you design the rest.
