Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.Summer is just around the corner. The garden party is planned. But the table still needs the right decorations. A wooden flamingo brings a light, cheerful mood into your home. It comes as a cutout for painting, decorating and displaying. It's made for your next crafting afternoon. Simply choose your size between 5 and 40 cm. Then design the tropical bird just the way you like it.
What changes for you
- You can start straight away with paint, glue or oil. The plywood is untreated and takes any finish.
- You don't need a steady artist's hand to get your design right. The finely laser-cut outlines guide you as you paint and decorate.
- You'll find the right size for every idea, from a small card to a window decoration. The height can be chosen from 5 to 40 cm in 5 cm steps.
- Your decoration gets a distinct outline. This comes from the typical brown edge left by the laser cut.
- You can make a little pair if you like. The flamingos are available individually or as a set of 2.
Why this flamingo cutout makes a difference in everyday life
Shop-bought decorations often look the same everywhere. A flamingo you design yourself shows your own style. Leave it natural on a shelf, paint it deep pink for a child's room or put it in the window. The bird fits into its surroundings without being intrusive. And crafting it makes for a cosy afternoon, on your own or with children.
Material & finish
The flamingo is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. This gives smooth edges that won't bother anyone. You can feel the clean finish when you hold it. The wood is untreated, so it is neither varnished nor glazed. Paints, glazes, oils and glue stick directly to the surface. Wood is a purely natural material. Its shade varies, it has its own grain and occasionally small knots. This makes every piece unique and is not a defect. Every cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the flamingo
- For a crafting afternoon with children: everyone paints their own flamingo. At the end, a small, colourful flamingo family hangs in the children's room.
- For a summer party: decorate several sizes in pink and spread them across the buffet. Your table now has a consistent theme.
- For card making: stick on the small sizes. A plain card becomes a personal greeting with depth.
- In a café or shop: place large flamingos in the shop window or on the counter. They're quick to set up and suit your seasonal decorations.
- Left natural on a shelf: the light wood looks calm and even. No brush needed.
Good to know about the flamingo
By the way, flamingos aren't naturally pink. Their colour comes from pigments in their food. With the wooden flamingo, that choice is yours. You decide whether it's pale pink, bright pink or left natural. That's what makes it such a rewarding craft motif.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Indoors, the cutout stays looking good for a long time. But keep the untreated wood away from constant moisture. If you want to use the flamingo outdoors or in the bathroom, protect it with varnish, glaze or oil. The surface takes all of them well.

Frequently asked questions
Is the wood treated? No, the plywood is untreated – neither varnished nor glazed. You can paint, decorate, stain or oil it directly.
Why does the flamingo have a brown edge? The cutouts are laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge. It is a feature of the process and gives the motif a clear outline.
How thick is the cutout? The material is 3 mm thick. It's sturdy enough to stand against a wall, hang up or stick on. It's also easy to work with.
Does every flamingo look the same? The shape is identical, but the wood isn't. As a natural material, it varies in shade and grain. Small knots are normal. Every piece is unique.
Can I combine several sizes? Yes. The height can be chosen from 5 to 40 cm in 5 cm steps. This lets you create groups and graduated arrangements.
What counts is more than a wooden cutout. It's the moment your own flamingo hangs in the window and you think: I made that. Just choose your size and get started.
