Material & finish

The silhouette is made of 3 mm plywood. It is laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The laser cut gives smooth edges. It also leaves the typical brown edge, which gives the motif a fine, defined outline. The top side has the scored outlines. The underside is left plain, so you can use either side as you like. Wood is a natural material, so the shade and grain vary from piece to piece. Small knots are part of it and make every genie one of a kind.

Can I paint the genie or stick things on it? Yes. The plywood is unfinished and can be decorated with glued-on items, painted, varnished or oiled.

Are the outlines already marked? Yes, the outlines are scored into the top side. The underside is left plain.

Why does the cutout have a brown edge? The genie is laser-cut. The brown edge is typical of this kind of cut. It also means smooth edges that need no sanding.
