Why this lucky pig silhouette makes a difference in everyday life
A lucky pig says it without many words: I wish you well. On a gift, on a bottle or as table decoration, the flying pig brings an instant smile. It shows that you've put some thought into it. Instead of mass-produced decorations, you create something that's clearly made by you.
Material & finish
The lucky pig is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. It has the typical brown edge, which gives the silhouette a finely drawn outline. The wood is unfinished, not varnished or glazed. Your paint, oil or glue will stick directly and reliably. Wood is a purely natural material. Each piece varies in shade and may show small irregularities in the grain or knots. That makes every pig one of a kind, not faulty. Every piece is made in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck, Thuringia, with careful workmanship.

Good to know about the lucky pig
In German-speaking countries, the pig has been a symbol of prosperity and luck for centuries. Anyone who has “Schwein gehabt” (literally "had pig") has had a lucky escape. That's why the motif suits more than New Year's Eve and New Year. It fits any occasion when you want to wish someone luck: an exam, a house move, a birthday or a fresh start.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. As the wood is unfinished, it's best kept dry and away from constant moisture. If you paint or oil it, you decide how the surface looks. And you'll enjoy your lucky charm for a long time.
