Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.Autumn is on its way and your window could do with a bit of woodland. Or the craft table is ready for the next project with the kids. A wooden toadstool is made for this: a clear, friendly shape you can paint, decorate or simply stand up as it is. In a few simple steps, a plain cutout becomes your very own decoration.
What changes for you
- You can start straight away without drawing anything first. The cap, spots and stem are already marked on the top of the wooden toadstool as outline cuts.
- You design it just the way you like. The plywood is untreated and takes paint, glue or oil without any problems.
- You'll find exactly the size that suits your idea. Choose from 5 cm to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You don't need to sand any edges. The laser cut leaves smooth, clean edges. Even little hands can start painting right away.
- You can easily supply larger projects too. Sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces are available.
Why this toadstool makes a difference in everyday life
Shop-bought decorations often look the same everywhere. A toadstool you've designed yourself tells your story. Painted bright red on the windowsill, part of an autumn scene at nursery or a small lucky charm on a gift: the shape is instantly recognisable. It works in calm arrangements as well as colourful ones. And because you make it yourself, every piece carries your own handwriting.
Material & finish
The cutout is made from 3 mm plywood using laser cutting. The result is precise shapes and smooth edges without splinters. The top has outline cuts to guide painting and design. The underside is left plain. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. This means you can paint, oil or decorate it as you like. As a natural material, it shows different shades, fine grain patterns and occasionally small knots. This makes every piece unique and is not a flaw. The toadstool is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the toadstool
- At a craft afternoon: put out brushes, paint and the wooden toadstools. The children paint along the marked outlines, and you don't have to make any templates first.
- For autumn decorations: a few painted toadstools among conkers and leaves on the windowsill complete the seasonal scene.
- As a lucky charm: a small toadstool on the gift ribbon or on a greetings card. Your thoughtful gesture will be remembered.
- At nursery or school: with a set of 25 or 50 pieces, every child has their own toadstool. Same shape, but all different results.
- In a shop or café: decorate your shop window or counter with matching motifs for autumn and New Year's Eve. With sizes from 5 to 50 cm, you can combine small details and large displays.
Good to know about the fly agaric
In German-speaking countries, the fly agaric has long been a symbol of good luck. A very lucky person is even called a “Glückspilz”, a lucky mushroom. That's why the motif suits not only autumn decorations but also New Year's Eve, New Year greetings and small lucky charm gifts.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. As the wood is untreated, an occasional dusting is enough. Avoid constant damp and wet. Or paint or oil the toadstool before using it outdoors. That way it keeps its shape and clean surface for a long time.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint or decorate the toadstool? Yes, the wood is untreated and natural. You can paint it, oil it, glue things onto it and decorate it any way you like.
Are the outlines on both sides? No, the scored outlines are on the top side. The back is left natural.
Is the wooden toadstool suitable for outdoor use? Untreated, it is intended for indoor use. For outdoors, protect it first with a weatherproof paint or oil.
Why don't all the toadstools look exactly the same? Wood is a natural material. Different shades, fine grain and small knots are normal and make every piece unique.
What counts is not the wooden cutout. What counts is the moment your hand-painted toadstool stands on the windowsill and you think: we made that ourselves. Just choose your size and quantity – and get started.
