Good to know about Frankenstein

Strictly speaking, the monster isn't called Frankenstein at all. In Mary Shelley's 1818 novel, that is the name of the scientist Victor Frankenstein. His creature has no name. The famous face with the square head mostly comes from film. And it's exactly this silhouette that keeps the shape a classic for Halloween decorations and spooky parties.

Can I paint or decorate the cutout? Yes. The plywood is untreated. You can paint it, glue things to it, oil it or decorate it in other ways.

Why is the edge brown? The head is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown rim and also gives smooth, clean edges.

Do all cutouts look the same? The shape is identical, the wood is not. As a natural material, it varies in shade and may show small irregularities in the grain or knots. Every piece is unique.

Is the shape suitable for outdoor use? The wood is untreated and should be protected from moisture. Outdoors, choose a sheltered spot or apply a protective coat.
