Why this wooden face makes a difference in everyday life
A ready-cut motif takes care of the hardest part for you: sawing and sketching. You go straight to the fun part – decorating. And you end up with something you're happy to show off. Use it as a cheerful greeting on the fridge, as decoration in a child's room or as a small party favour. The smiling face adds a light-hearted touch to any room.
Material & finish
Happy Freddy is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. This gives smooth edges and a precise motif, even in the small sizes. The front carries the etched outline of the face. The back is left unfinished. Every cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. Wood is a natural material, so every piece turns out a little differently. Lighter or darker tones, fine grain patterns or small knots are not defects. They make every face one of a kind.

How to use Happy Freddy
- Crafting with children: Every child decorates their own face with paint, googly eyes or glitter. Afterwards they proudly take their work home.
- Making money gifts: Add a small Freddy to the card or envelope. A plain gift of money becomes a greeting that brings a smile as soon as it's unwrapped.
- Making Christmas decorations: Paint it, write on it and add a ribbon. The face becomes a hanging decoration for a branch, a present or an Advent calendar.
- For Mother's Day or Father's Day: A hand-painted face with a few kind words. It's a gift that says more than any shop-bought card.
- At nursery, school or a craft group: With the set of 25, 50 or 100 you have the same motif for everyone. It's quick to hand out, with no cutting and no waiting.
- In a shop, café or at a market stall: Place it where it's easy to see, on the counter or in the window. You can write offers or a greeting to your customers on it.
Good to know about the smiley face
The smiling face has been known worldwide as a symbol of good mood since the 1960s. It's used wherever people want to show friendliness without many words. That's why Happy Freddy works so well as a small gift, as an encouragement in a child's room or as a greeting to guests and customers.
Care & durability
There's not much to do. Simply keep the untreated wood dry and wipe it with a dry cloth when needed. Avoid constant moisture. If you'd like Freddy to be more durable, you can paint, oil or varnish it, just as you like.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the wooden face or stick things on it? Yes. The plywood is unfinished and untreated. You can paint it, stick things on it, coat it or oil it.
Are both sides the same? No. The front carries the laser-etched outline of the face. The back is unfinished, without a motif.
How do I choose the right size? The size you choose applies to height and width. At 10 cm, Freddy is 10 cm high and 10 cm wide.
Why don't all the cutouts look exactly the same? Wood is a natural material. Colour, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece. This makes every face one of a kind.
A wooden cutout becomes something more the moment a hand-painted face hangs on a present. And the person receiving it smiles back. Simply choose your size, singly or as a set, and get started.
