Outside, the leaves are glowing. Inside, you want your table to look like autumn again. All you're missing is the motif that ties it all together. That's exactly what this wooden toadstool is made for. It's a clear mushroom silhouette in plywood. You can paint it, decorate it with stickers or paper, or leave it natural. Use it as table scatter, a window decoration or a craft project with children. The plain cutout becomes your very own autumn piece.

What changes for you

  • You design the toadstool exactly the way you want. The wood is untreated, so you can paint it, glue things on, coat it or oil it.
  • You'll find the right size for every project, from small table scatter to a large freestanding display. Choose any height from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • No tedious sawing or sanding. The laser-cut edges are smooth and ready to work with straight away.
  • Craft at ease with children, in a group or for your shop window. The toadstool is available individually or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
  • You get a cleanly made piece from Bütic's own production in Pößneck – made in Thuringia.

Why this wooden toadstool makes a difference every day

Shop-bought decorations often look the same everywhere. A cutout you design yourself shows your own style. The smooth plywood toadstool suits an autumn table, a window or a seasonal wreath without looking overdone. The shape is already done for you. So you can focus fully on decorating it – on your own, with children or in a craft group.

Material & finish

The toadstool is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. This gives the edges the typical brown laser rim, which frames the motif naturally. The edges are smooth, so you can start crafting without sanding. The wood is left untreated, so it is neither varnished nor glazed. Paints, glues and oils adhere well, and you decide on the finish yourself. Wood is a natural material and never completely uniform. Differences in shade, fine grain patterns and small knots are part of it. They make each piece unique and are not a defect.

How to use the wooden toadstool

  • Setting an autumn table: Scatter small toadstools between candles and leaves. Your table instantly says autumn.
  • Crafting with children: Each child paints their own toadstool. Red cap, white dots – and the proudly presented lucky toadstool is ready.
  • In the window: Hang a large silhouette as a window decoration. It's a friendly greeting from outside and a clear focal point from inside.
  • In a shop, café or at the weekly market: With a set of 25, 50 or 100 you can decorate your counter and shop window in a uniform style. Quick to set up and matched across all sizes.
  • For gifts and small presents: Write on the toadstool or tie it to an autumn arrangement. A small, personal gesture.

Good to know about the toadstool

The red and white fly agaric is poisonous, but it has long been seen as a symbol of good luck. Like the four-leaf clover and the chimney sweep, it appears on greeting cards and New Year wishes. That's why the motif doesn't just suit autumn decorations. It also works as a handmade lucky charm for New Year's Eve, the first day of school or as a small greeting any time.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Simply store the untreated wood in a dry place and protect it from constant moisture. The surface will then stay stable and look good for a long time. If you paint, oil or varnish the toadstool, you also seal the surface – depending on your project.

  • Choose your height: 3 cm to 50 cm, in 1 cm steps

Frequently asked questions

Is the wood treated? No, the cutout is untreated – neither varnished nor glazed. This means the plywood takes paints, glues and oils well.

Can I paint the toadstool? Yes, you can paint the untreated wood, glue things on, coat it or oil it. It's also ideal for crafting with children.

Where does the brown rim on the edges come from? The toadstool is laser-cut, which creates the typical brown laser rim. The edges are smooth and don't need sanding.

Do all toadstools look the same? The shape is identical, but wood as a natural material never is. Shade, grain and small knots vary, so every piece is unique.

A plywood cutout is just the start. Think of the afternoon at the kitchen table spent painting, gluing and laughing. And of the little lucky toadstools that decorate your home afterwards. Just choose your size and quantity. You design the rest yourself.
