Material & finish

The giraffe is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood and made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. Laser cutting creates the typical brown edge, which gives the shape a finely drawn outline. The top side has the scored contour lines with face and coat markings. The underside is left natural. The wood is neither varnished nor glazed, so paints, glues and oils adhere reliably. As a purely natural material, every piece is one of a kind. Variations in shade and grain and small knots are part of it. They are exactly what makes a wooden giraffe appealing.

How to use the wooden giraffe
