Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.A rainy afternoon, and the craft table is all set: paints, brushes, glue. Right in the middle sits a giraffe made of light wood, just waiting for some colour. This plywood giraffe cutout is made for afternoons like these. It is untreated, cleanly laser-cut and available in any height from 3 to 50 cm. Use it for crafting with children, for safari decorations in a child's bedroom or as a prop at a themed party. You decide how your giraffe ends up looking.
What changes for you
- You can start painting, decorating or oiling straight away – because the wood is natural and unfinished and takes any colour well.
- Your décor fits its spot perfectly, from small table scatter to a large figure – thanks to a height you can choose from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- Crafting with kids is more relaxed, because the laser-cut edges are smooth and nothing needs sanding.
- Your project comes together nicely, even in larger quantities – because you can order the giraffe singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
- You can expand your Africa or safari theme, because this design combines well with other wooden animal figures.
Why this giraffe cutout makes a difference in everyday life
Ready-made décor looks the same in everyone's home – a wooden blank, on the other hand, becomes your very own piece. You choose the colour, pattern and where it goes, and in the end you have something that exists nowhere else. Especially when crafting with kids, it becomes more than decoration: an afternoon spent together and a result everyone is a little proud of.
Material & finish
The giraffe is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. It is made in Bütic's own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The laser cut leaves smooth edges and the typical brown rim, which gives the silhouette a fine outline. The wood is completely untreated – neither varnished nor glazed. So you can paint it, glue things onto it or oil it, just as you like. Wood is a natural material, so every piece turns out slightly different: lighter or darker, with its own grain, sometimes with small knots. That is exactly what makes each giraffe one of a kind.

How to use your giraffe
- Crafting with kids: each child paints their own giraffe – and takes home a keepsake they designed themselves.
- In the nursery: combine several sizes to create a little safari on a shelf or wall – giving the room a theme that grows with your child.
- For a themed party: scatter giraffes across the table and buffet – and your Africa theme runs through the whole room with very little effort.
- As gift tags or table scatter in small sizes: one motif on the parcel – and there's something to discover even before it's unwrapped.
- For nurseries, schools or shop displays: with sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100, you'll have enough blanks for the whole group or the entire shop window – all the same design and ready to use in no time.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do: as the wood is unfinished, it's best to keep the giraffe dry and protect it from constant moisture. Painting, varnishing or oiling it gives the surface extra protection – and keeps your décor looking lovely for a long time.

Frequently asked questions
Is the wood treated? No, the cutout is left natural – neither varnished nor glazed. You can paint, decorate, coat or oil it straight away.
Where does the brown edge come from? The giraffe is laser-cut. This creates the typical dark rim that gives the silhouette a clear outline – the edges are smooth.
Why do the giraffes look slightly different? Wood is a natural material: shade, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece. That's not a flaw – it's what makes every figure unique.
How wide is the giraffe at my chosen height? For reference: at a height of 10 cm, the width is 7.5 cm. Other sizes follow the same proportions.
Can I order larger quantities? Yes, as well as single pieces there are sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 – for nursery groups, school classes or décor projects, for example.
In the end, it's not about a plywood cutout. It's about the moment the painted giraffe is dry, finds its place on the shelf – and someone says: “I made that myself.” Just choose your height and quantity, and off you go.
