Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. After winter, the windowsill still looks a little bare. You'd like some spring in the house, ideally made by you. That's exactly what this wooden grass tuft is for. It's a clear silhouette for crafting, painting and decorating. You get it in natural wood and design it however you like. A few cutouts become spring or Easter decorations that you've painted and arranged yourself.
What changes for you
- You design your decorations exactly the way you want them. The wood is untreated, so you can glue things onto it, coat it, oil it or paint it.
- You'll find the right size for every spot, from a small cutout at a place setting to a large shop-window silhouette. You can choose any width from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You can craft in a relaxed way, even with children – because the laser-cut edges are smooth and need no sanding.
- Your shape looks finished from the start. The typical brown laser edge neatly traces the outline.
- You can plan bigger projects without having to reorder. The grass tuft is available singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
Why this wooden grass tuft makes a difference in everyday life
Ready-made decorations often look the same everywhere. A wooden blank, on the other hand, leaves the design up to you. You decide on colour, pattern and arrangement. What ends up on your table or windowsill is one of a kind. At Easter in particular, the grass tuft silhouette works as wooden Easter grass and brings spring into the house. There are no crumbs and no yellowing.
Material & finish
The grass tuft is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. This gives smooth, clean edges with the characteristic brown rim, which adds depth to the silhouette. The wood is left untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. Paint, glue and oil adhere to it particularly well. Every piece is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. Wood is a natural material, so it can be lighter or darker and may show small knots or differences in the grain. That's what makes each piece unique.

How to use the grass tuft
- Easter crafts with children: everyone paints their own tuft in shades of green. Bit by bit, a little spring meadow grows on the windowsill.
- On the Easter table: place a narrow grass tuft at each setting or in front of the Easter nest. The table looks lovingly prepared before the guests sit down.
- For gifts of money and small presents: use a tuft with writing or stuck-on decorations as a tag. It turns an envelope into a personal spring gift.
- In the shop window or on the counter: set up several silhouettes in graduated sizes. In a few minutes you have a seasonal display. After Easter it stores away in very little space, and you can reuse it next year.
- For bakeries, cafés or market stalls: the grass tufts frame the Easter goods on the counter. They're neatly presented and quick to set up. There's no real grass that needs replacing.
Good to know about Easter grass
Easter grass has long been part of Easter traditions. Freshly sprouting green stands for spring and new beginnings. Traditionally, it forms the bed in the Easter nest. The wooden silhouette picks up this symbol, but it lasts. You can bring it out again year after year.
Care & durability
There isn't much you need to do. Untreated plywood likes to be kept dry. Then it keeps its shape and natural look for many seasons. Avoid constant moisture. If you want to use the grass tuft outdoors or somewhere damp, paint or oil it first. This gives the surface extra protection.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the grass tuft or stick things on it? Yes. The wood is untreated, so you can glue things onto it, coat it, oil it or paint it. Paint adheres well to the raw surface.
How tall is the grass tuft? The height depends on the width you choose. At a width of 10 cm, for example, it is 8.5 cm tall.
Why does the cutout have a brown edge? The grass tuft is laser-cut. The brown edge is typical of this cutting method. It also means smooth edges without splinters.
Do all pieces look the same? The shape does, but the wood not quite. As a natural material, it can be lighter or darker and may show small knots or different grain patterns. This isn't a flaw. It makes each piece unique.
Can I order larger quantities? Yes. Besides single pieces, there are sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100. They suit craft groups, school classes or shop decorations, for example.
A wooden cutout is only the starting point. What counts is the moment spring begins on your windowsill. You make it, perhaps together with the children at the kitchen table. Simply choose your width and quantity. You do the rest.
