- You can start painting, gluing or oiling straight away. The wood comes in its natural state and takes paint well.
- Your motif already looks finished before you paint it. The laser creates the typical brown edge, and all outlines are marked with scored lines.
- You don't need to saw or sand anything, thanks to the smooth, cleanly laser-cut edges. That's a plus when crafting with children, too.
- Larger projects are easy to cover as well. You can order single pieces or sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
Why this wooden roast chicken makes a difference in everyday use
A motif made of real wood feels different from printed paper or plastic. It looks warmer and more natural, with a texture of its own. Use it at the buffet, at the snack bar counter or on the noticeboard with the menu. The roast chicken shows at a glance what it's all about. And it looks lovingly made. Because you do the design yourself, it ends up matching your occasion exactly.
Material & finish
The chicken is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. It is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The edges are smooth and the finish is clean. You can pick up the cutout and work on it straight away. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. So it is open to anything: painting, oiling, gluing, decorating. As a purely natural material, it varies in shade. It shows fine structures in the grain and occasionally small knots. This is not a flaw. It is exactly what makes every piece one of a kind.

How to use the wooden roast chicken
- Before the barbecue: You paint a few chickens with the children. Your table decorations are ready, and they come with a story.
- For an Oktoberfest evening: As a Wiesnhendl on a garland or place card, the motif gets everyone in the mood before the first chicken is served.
- For crafting money gifts: Stick the banknote onto the chicken. Instead of an envelope, you give a little invitation to a meal. Original and personal.
- At a snack bar, chicken van or weekly market: On the counter or price board, the silhouette shows right away what you're selling. It looks neat and is quick to put up.
- In catering and hospitality: The large sizes up to 50 cm mark the grill station at the buffet. The small ones decorate menu cards. In sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100, there are enough for whole events.
Good to know about the Broiler
In the GDR, “Broiler” was the usual word for roast chicken. It is still in use today, especially in eastern Germany. In the south, people tend to say Grillhendl, or Wiesnhendl during Oktoberfest. That is why the motif suits very different occasions: from an Ostalgie party to Oktoberfest to a summer barbecue in the garden.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Keep the untreated wood dry and protect it from constant moisture. Then it will keep its shape and look good for a long time. If you oil or paint it, the surface becomes more resistant.
