Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.Maybe you finally want a railway motif on the nursery wall. Perhaps your line diorama needs some life beside the track. Or you're looking for a gift for a railway fan. This wooden freight wagon with bulldozer is made for your next craft idea. The laser-cut plywood silhouette shows a vehicle being transported by rail. You decide whether it stays natural or gets painted in bright colours.
What changes for you
- You can start painting, decorating or oiling straight away – the wood comes untreated in its natural finish and takes any colour well.
- Your motif fits exactly where you want it, from a small table scatter piece to a wall picture. You can choose any width from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You can craft straight away without sanding, even with children. The laser cut leaves smooth edges that don't splinter.
- You'll have enough for your group activity or decoration series. You can order the cutout singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
- Each piece gets its own look. The typical brown laser edge outlines the silhouette. This makes the motif look finished even without paint.
Why this wooden cutout makes a difference every day
A ready-cut motif takes care of the hardest part for you: sawing it out. You can focus on the fun part – designing, painting, decorating. The result looks neat and well thought out. Use it as nursery decoration, on a diorama or on a greetings card. The railway motif tells a story that young and old railway fans recognise straight away.
Material & finish
The cutout is made of 3 mm plywood and laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck. That's where the smooth edges come from. It's also where the typical brown edge comes from, which gives the motif its outline. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor stained. So it's open to any design idea. Wood is a natural material, so every cutout turns out slightly different. Shades vary, each piece has its own grain, and some have small knots. This makes every piece unique. It is not a flaw.

How to use the freight wagon with bulldozer
- Crafting with children: get the brushes out and paint the motif. In the end, a wagon your child designed hangs in their bedroom, and they're proud of it.
- On a line diorama or model railway wall: the silhouette adds to your railway theme. It turns a bare surface into a little scene.
- As a gift tag or on cards: stick a small size onto the parcel for the railway fan. Before it's even unwrapped, it's clear that someone put thought into it.
- In shop windows, after-school clubs or craft classes: with sets from 10 pieces, you can equip a whole group or a decoration series. There's no need to reorder single pieces.
- In a large width as wall decoration: at up to 50 cm, the cutout fills the wall above the child's bed or in the hallway. Oil it, paint it or leave it natural.
Good to know about transporting vehicles by rail
Construction machines such as bulldozers have long been transported on open freight wagons. You still see this along railway lines and in marshalling yards today. That's why the motif fits well on line dioramas. Railway fans will find it familiar straight away. Use it as decoration, a gift or a craft project on the theme of railways.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. The wood is untreated, so it keeps its natural look for a long time if stored dry. Avoid constant moisture. If the motif is to hang outdoors or in damp rooms, simply give it a protective finish yourself with paint, varnish or oil.

Frequently asked questions
Is the wood treated? No, the cutout is untreated, neither varnished nor stained. You can cover, paint, coat or oil it – just as you like.
Where does the brown edge come from? It's created during laser cutting and is typical of this cutting method. It also gives you smooth edges and a clear outline of the motif.
Why do the cutouts look different? Wood is a natural material. Shade, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece. This makes every cutout unique.
Can I order larger quantities? Yes. Besides single pieces, there are sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 – for example for craft groups, classes or decoration series.
What counts is the moment your child hangs up the wagon they painted themselves. Or the moment a railway fan unwraps a gift that matches their hobby exactly. Just choose your width and quantity. You design the rest.
