Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. The primary school's Advent market is coming up. The windowsill still looks bare. Or the hunting room needs a fitting motif. You're looking for a shape that brings nature indoors. The wooden hawk silhouette is made for this. It's a cleanly laser-cut bird of prey shape. You can paint it, decorate it or simply stand it up in its natural state. That way an idea quickly becomes a decoration that really suits your theme.
What changes for you
- You can start crafting and painting straight away. The plywood is unfinished, so it takes paint, glue or oil directly.
- Your project gets exactly the right size, with no compromises. You choose the height from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You don't need to sand the edges. The laser cut leaves smooth edges. That's also pleasant when crafting with children.
- You can kit out larger projects without extra effort. Sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces are available. They work well for table scatter, school projects or club events.
- You get a distinctive shape. The typical brown laser edge traces the silhouette finely and gives it a clear outline.
Why this hawk silhouette makes a difference in everyday life
Shop-bought decorations often look generic. A motif you design yourself says something about you and your occasion. With the hawk silhouette, you can create nature, woodland and hunting themes the way you picture them. Leave it natural in the window or paint it boldly with acrylic or craft paint. And because you choose the size freely, the bird fits into any arrangement instead of looking out of place.
Material & finish
The hawk is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. This makes it light, stable and easy to work with. The laser cut leaves the edges smooth. The surface is unfinished, neither varnished nor glazed. So you can paint, oil or decorate it as you like. Wood is a purely natural material. Each silhouette varies in shade and shows its own grain. Now and then there are small knots. That's not a flaw. It's what makes every piece unique. The hawk is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the hawk silhouette
- Crafting with children: each child paints their own bird. In the end, a whole colourful flock hangs in the window, and everyone is proud of it.
- As an autumn window decoration: a large hawk at 40 or 50 cm stands in the window. It shows the clear, laser-cut bird of prey shape – understated and not kitschy.
- As table scatter on the festive table: spread small silhouettes of 5 to 10 cm between twigs and candles. Your hunting or woodland table then looks all of a piece.
- In a shop or café: arrange several birds in the shop window or on the counter. Your nature-themed decoration is ready in a few minutes and easy to swap seasonally.
- For clubs and schools: with the set of 50 or 100, you can supply a whole project. There's no need to source each piece separately.
Good to know about the hawk
For centuries, the hawk has been seen as a classic hunting bird. In falconry, the traditional hunt with trained birds of prey, it is one of the falconer's best-known companions. That's exactly why its silhouette suits hunting, woodland and nature motifs so well. Use it for anything from a hunters' get-together to a club party or an autumn window display.
Care & durability
There's not much to do. Simply wipe off dust with a dry cloth. The wood is unfinished, so protect it from constant moisture. If you want to display the hawk outdoors, give it a protective coat of varnish or oil first. That way the silhouette stays looking good for a long time.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the wooden hawk? Yes. The plywood is unfinished. You can paint, oil, decorate or embellish it however you like.
Why does the silhouette have a brown edge? The hawk is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge that finely traces the shape. It also leaves the edges smooth.
How wide is the hawk? The width depends on the height you choose. At a height of 10 cm, the silhouette is 6.5 cm wide.
Does every piece look the same? The shape is identical, the wood is not. As a natural material, it varies in shade. It may show small knots or irregularities in the grain. That's exactly what makes every piece unique.
What counts is more than a piece of plywood. It's the moment your own hawk hangs in the window and you think: that's exactly how it should look. Just choose your height – single or as a set.
