Easter is getting closer and the breakfast table should look festive. You're still looking for the motif that ties it all together. The wooden bunny with carrot is a figure for crafting and decorating. You can paint it or glue things on, just as you like. Or simply display it in natural wood. That way, a plain wooden cutout becomes your very own Easter decoration – made for your spring table.

What changes for you

  • You design your Easter decorations exactly to your taste. The wood is untreated, so you can paint, decorate, varnish or oil it.
  • Your motif always suits where you use it, from a small gift tag to a large window figure. You choose any height from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • You can see the face and carrot at a glance, even without a brushstroke. The outlines are finely scored into the surface.
  • You can work comfortably with no sanding or finishing needed. The laser-cut edges are smooth and clean.
  • For crafting with children, at your club or for shop decorations, you'll have plenty to go round. The bunny is available singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.

Why this wooden bunny makes a difference

Ready-made decorations look the same in every home. A wooden blank, on the other hand, becomes your own piece. Delicate watercolours, bold acrylics or simply the natural look of the wood: the bunny fits quietly into your home instead of taking over. And when children join in, they end up with something on the table they are truly proud of.

Material & finish

The bunny is laser-cut from 3 mm poplar plywood. This gives it the typical, slightly browned edge that defines the outline of the motif. The top side has the scored outlines for the face and carrot. The underside is left plain. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed, so paint and glue adhere well. As a natural material, every piece shows its own grain, different shades and sometimes small knots. This is not a flaw. It's exactly what makes each bunny one of a kind. It is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the wooden bunny

  • Crafting with children on the afternoon before Easter: each child paints their own bunny. In the end, a little parade of colourful one-offs hangs on the Easter tree.
  • On the Easter table: a small bunny at each place, perhaps with a name written on it. Your guests will find their seats with a smile.
  • As a spring window decoration: a large bunny, 40 or 50 cm tall, in the window. Even from the street, people can see that Easter has arrived here.
  • On gifts of money and small presents: use the bunny as a gift tag. A plain envelope becomes a personal Easter gift.
  • For bakeries, cafés or farm shops: with a set of 25, 50 or 100, you can decorate the counter, shop window and baskets in a matching style. It's quick to set up and everything matches.
  • In nurseries, schools or craft groups: the same blanks for everyone, very different results. No cutting and no preparation needed.

Facts about the Easter Bunny

Written records of the Easter bunny bringing eggs date back to the 17th century. Since then, it has been a firm part of Easter tradition. That's why the motif works so well for anything to do with Easter: from the Easter tree to gift tags and spring decorations in the shop window.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Store the bunny in a dry place and wipe it with a dry cloth when needed. As the wood is untreated, protect it from lasting moisture. If you want to use it outdoors, a coat of paint, varnish or oil will help. That way, your decoration will last for many Easters.

Frequently asked questions

Can I paint the bunny or glue things on it? Yes. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. You can paint it, oil it, glue things on it or simply use it in natural wood.

Why does the bunny have a brown edge? The cutout is laser-cut. This creates the typical, evenly browned edge. It is part of the process and gives the motif a clear outline.

Are both sides the same? No. The top side has the scored outlines with the face and carrot. The underside is plain, with no lines.

Does every bunny look the same? Wood is a natural material. Shade, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece. That's what makes each bunny one of a kind.

Can I use the bunny outdoors? Untreated, it belongs in a dry, sheltered spot. With an opaque coat of paint or a coat of oil, you can also use it as an outdoor decoration.

Picture the moment when the first bunnies you painted yourself hang on the Easter tree. Spring has arrived at your home. Just choose your height and quantity – you design the rest.
