Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. This year you want a homemade advent calendar. The children are already at the table with their brushes. All that's missing is a blank that offers something other than a circle or a star. A wooden heptagon brings exactly that shape into play. Seven corners, clean edges, untreated wood that is ready for your ideas. Made for your craft table – for painting, decorating or as a base for Christmas decorations.
What changes for you
- You can start straight away with paint, glue or oil. The plywood is untreated and takes any finish well.
- Your craft projects look neat and well thought out. That's thanks to the smooth laser-cut edges with the typical brown edge as a fine frame.
- You'll find the right size for every project. You choose the width freely from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You can plan bigger projects with ease, such as Christmas crafts with children or money gifts for the whole family. The heptagon is available singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
Why this wooden heptagon makes a difference in everyday life
An unusual shape turns a simple craft idea into something that stands out. And it's no extra effort for you. The heptagon sits comfortably in your hand and is easy to hold and paint. It gives your decorations a shape you don't see on every pinboard. A few quiet minutes at the table become something you'll be happy to give away or hang up.
Material & finish
The heptagon is made from 3 mm plywood and laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. That's where the smooth edges and the characteristic brown edge come from. The wood is left natural, not varnished or stained. You can decorate it, paint it or oil it. Please note: wood is a purely natural material. Each piece varies in shade and has its own grain. Small knots may appear. This makes every heptagon one of a kind – it is not a defect.

How to use the heptagon
- Crafting with children in the afternoon: each child paints their own heptagon. At the end, a little gallery hangs in the window.
- For the advent calendar: number 24 small heptagons and hang them up. Your calendar is finished in an hour.
- As a money gift: fold banknotes and stick them onto the painted heptagon. The envelope can stay in the drawer this year.
- In maths or art lessons: a seven-sided shape you can hold. Geometry becomes tangible instead of abstract.
- In a café or at the weekly market: write on the large heptagon with a chalk pen to make a price tag or sign. It's quick to do. You can write on it again and again, just as you like.
Good to know about the heptagon
Heptagon is simply the Greek name for a seven-sided shape – "hepta" means seven. Interesting fact: a regular heptagon cannot be constructed exactly with just a compass and ruler. So it's handy that the laser does this job. You get a clean, even shape and can focus fully on decorating.
Care & durability
There isn't much to do. Store the untreated wood in a dry place and protect it from constant moisture. It will then keep its natural look for a long time. If you want to use it outdoors or in a damp environment, simply oil or paint the surface yourself.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint or decorate the heptagon? Yes. The wood is untreated. You can paint it, stick things on it, decorate it or oil it – whatever your idea.
Why does the edge have a brown rim? The heptagon is laser-cut. The brown rim forms naturally during this process. It also gives you smooth, clean edges.
Do all heptagons look the same? The shape is identical, the wood is not. As a natural material, it varies in shade and grain. Small knots are normal. Every piece is one of a kind.
Which sizes and quantities are available? You choose the width from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps and order individually or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces.
A piece of plywood with seven corners is just the start. From a simple blank, you make your own decoration – painted, labelled, given as a gift. Simply choose the size and quantity that suit your project.
