The hyena is made of 3 mm plywood and laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck. This gives the edges their typical brown rim and the motif a clear, clean outline. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. That's why it takes paint, glue and oil well. As a natural material, every piece shows its own grain. Some are lighter, some darker, and some have small knots. This is not a flaw. It makes every hyena one of a kind.
