Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.Spring is just around the corner, the children are already at the table with their brushes – and all you need now is the right base shape for your Easter decorations. That's exactly what this wooden carrot is made for: a laser-cut plywood decoration cutout that you can paint, embellish or simply display in its natural state, just as you like. That way, an afternoon of crafting quietly turns into decorations for your window, table or shop counter.
What changes for you
- You can start painting and decorating straight away – because the wood is untreated and takes paint, glue or oil directly.
- Your decoration fits exactly where you need it. You can choose any height from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps. That covers everything from small table scatter pieces to a large standalone figure.
- No sore fingers when crafting with children – the laser-cut edges are smooth and cleanly cut.
- You get a consistent look, even across many pieces. That's because every carrot is made to the same standard of workmanship.
- No need to saw anything out by hand – the shape arrives ready cut, so you can focus on the fun part of the job.
Why this wooden carrot makes a difference every day
A ready-made base shape does the most tedious part for you. It leaves you the best part: decorating. Maybe you're at the craft table with the children. Maybe you're making spring decorations for the window or dressing the shop window of a farm shop. Either way, you start with a clean shape and a natural material. Its surface is smooth and easy to handle. The result is decoration that looks handmade, and you don't need any tools or a saw.
Material & finish
The carrot is laser-cut from 3 mm thick plywood. This gives it the typical brown edge, which outlines the silhouette with a fine, clear contour. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. So you can paint it, cover it, oil it or leave it natural. Every piece is made in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck, Thuringia. Wood is a purely natural material, so each carrot turns out a little different. You may see varying shades, fine patterns in the grain and now and then a small knot. That makes each piece unique, not faulty.

How to use the wooden carrot
- Crafting with children on the evening before Easter Sunday: each child paints their own carrot – and the next morning the colourful results decorate the breakfast table.
- As spring decoration in the window: several small carrots on a string – and straight away the view from outside looks cheerful and lovingly decorated.
- As a hanging decoration or table scatter on the Easter table: a small carrot at each guest's place – and Easter lunch starts with a smile.
- In the farm shop, at the market or in the vegetable section: large cutouts up to 50 cm mark the vegetable shelf or decorate the counter – quick to set up, natural in material and a good match for your range.
- For nurseries, schools or craft groups: sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces give everyone the same base shape – you can get a whole group ready in minutes.
Good to know about the carrot
The carrot has always gone hand in hand with the Easter Bunny – hardly any other motif says spring, garden and Easter quite so clearly. That's why the wooden carrot isn't just for crafting before Easter, but works all spring long for window decorations, a plant-marker look and anything with a hint of garden joy.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do: as the wood is untreated, it's best to keep the carrot somewhere dry and protect it from prolonged moisture. Painting, oiling or varnishing it gives the surface extra protection – so you can enjoy your decoration for many years.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint or decorate the wooden carrot? Yes. The plywood is untreated, so neither varnished nor glazed – you can paint it, embellish it, oil it or use it just as it is.
Why does the carrot have a brown edge? The cutout is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge with smooth sides – it's part of the process and gives the silhouette a crisp outline.
Do all the carrots look the same? The shape does, the wood not quite: as a natural material, it varies in shade and may show fine textures or small knots. That's exactly what makes each piece unique.
Which size is right for my project? You can choose any height between 3 and 50 cm in 1 cm steps – small sizes for hanging decorations and table scatter, large ones for windows, counters or shop windows.
In the end, it's not about a wooden cutout. It's about the moment when the hand-painted carrots are standing on the Easter table and everyone knows: we made these together. Just choose your size and quantity – you create the rest.
