Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.Advent is just around the corner, the scissors, glue and paints are out on the table – and you're still missing the motif that gives your Christmas decorations that special glow. Whether in the window, on a card or on a wreath: the familiar flame motif instantly creates a warm, festive mood.
What changes for you
- You can create window pictures, wreaths and table decorations with a real candlelight feel – with no fire risk, because the flame is made of wood.
- You can get started right away with painting, decorating or oiling – the plywood is untreated and takes paint and glue well.
- You get exactly the size that suits your project – thanks to a freely selectable height from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- Your craft projects look clean and tidy. That's because the flame is laser-cut and has smooth edges that need no finishing.
- You save time and money when crafting with children or in a group – with sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces.
Why this wooden candle flame makes a difference every day
A ready-lasered motif takes the hardest part off your hands: the sawing. You can focus on the fun part – designing, combining, decorating. That way a simple idea becomes a finished piece faster. It brings warmth to a window, an Advent wreath or a shop counter. And because no real candle is burning, you can use your flame light anywhere.
Material & finish
The candle flame is made from 3 mm plywood. It is laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The laser cut gives smooth edges and the typical brown rim. This rim gives the motif a finely drawn outline. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. So you can paint it, stick things on it or oil it straight away. As a natural material, every piece has its own grain. Some are lighter, some darker, and some have small knots. That makes every flame one of a kind – not a flaw, but character.

How to use the candle flame
- Making Christmas decorations: Fix the flame onto a wooden stick or a decorated candle shape – and your window picture glows all through Advent, without you having to worry about a burning candle.
- Crafting with children: Each child paints their own flame in yellow, orange and red – and together you end up with a shared window of lights for the classroom or nursery.
- For Christmas cards and money gifts: a small flame on the card or the present turns a plain envelope into a lovingly made gift.
- For an Advent calendar: Number 24 small flames – and every morning your homemade calendar gets one light brighter.
- In a café, bakery or at a market stall: With several flames in your window or counter display, you can create an atmospheric presentation in just a few minutes – with no open flame and no fire safety worries.
Good to know about the candle flame
For centuries, candlelight has stood for warmth, hope and reflection – during Advent, it's tradition to light one more candle each week. The wooden flame picks up on exactly this motif and takes it wherever real fire doesn't belong: in the window, on the wreath, in children's hands or in shop window displays.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do: store the untreated flames somewhere dry and protect them from constant moisture – that way they'll keep their light, natural look for a long time. Once painted, oiled or varnished, the surface becomes even more resilient.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint or decorate the candle flame? Yes, the wood is untreated and can be painted, decorated, coated or oiled – ideal for crafting and embellishing.
Where does the brown rim on the edges come from? It's created during laser cutting and is typical of this cutting method. It looks like a fine outline and emphasises the flame shape.
Do all the flames look the same? The shape is identical, but wood as a natural material isn't: shade, grain and small knots vary – every piece is unique.
How wide is the flame? The width depends on the height you choose. As a guide: at a height of 10 cm, the width is 5.5 cm.
Where is the candle flame made? In our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.
In the end, it's not about a piece of plywood. It's about the moment a light you've designed yourself shines in the window – made on a cosy afternoon, perhaps even together with the children. Simply choose your height and quantity and get started.
