Why this wooden candle flame makes a difference every day
A wooden flame as a ready-made silhouette takes care of the most time-consuming part of the preparation. You can start straight away with the fun part of crafting. Use it in the window, on homemade wooden candles or in your Advent decorations. The warm natural material creates a calm, cosy mood in the room, without a real candle. You can choose each size individually. So the flame fits exactly what you are building.
Material & finish
The candle flame is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. Laser cutting leaves the typical brown edge. It finely traces the outline and is a normal feature of a laser cutout. The wood is untreated. It is neither varnished nor stained, so it takes paint, glue or oil well. Wood is a natural material and never completely uniform. Differences in shade, fine grain patterns and small knots are normal. This makes every piece one of a kind.

- In a bakery, café or shop: large flames in the shop window or on the counter create an inviting atmosphere over Christmas – with no fire safety concerns and no daily effort.

Good to know about the candle flame
The flame as a silhouette has always stood for candlelight – without anything actually burning. That's exactly why it's so popular wherever real candles aren't allowed or are too risky: in nurseries, shop windows or in the window overnight. This way you bring the warm glow of light into your home and can enjoy it completely worry-free.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do: keep the untreated wooden flame dry and protect it from prolonged moisture – then it will keep its shape and be ready to use for many Advent seasons to come. If you paint or oil it, the surface becomes even more resilient.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the wooden candle flame or glue things onto it? Yes. The wood is untreated and left natural – it can be painted, decorated with glued-on details, varnished or oiled, and it takes paint well.
Why does the cutout have a brown edge? The flame is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge – it's part of the process and highlights the outline of the motif.
Does every flame look exactly the same? The shape does, the wood not quite: as a natural material, plywood shows variations in shade, fine textures in the grain and occasionally small knots – every piece is unique.
How wide is the flame at the height I choose? The width increases proportionally: at a height of 10 cm, it is 6 cm wide. This makes it easy to estimate the dimensions for other sizes.
In the end, it's not about a wooden cutout. It's about the moment your own handmade candlelight glows in the window – warm, safe and just the way you imagined it. Simply choose your height and quantity, and your next project can begin.
