The First Communion craft session is about to start. The nativity scene still needs its centre. And you're still missing the right motif. This wooden church is made for exactly that. It's a clear plywood silhouette, untreated and ready for your ideas. Paint it, stick things on it or leave it natural. A simple cutout becomes your very own piece of decoration.

What changes for you

  • You're free to design it just the way you imagine – because the wood is untreated and can be painted, decorated, varnished or oiled.
  • You'll find exactly the size that fits your scene. The height can be chosen from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • You can craft with children or groups without worrying about the material. The edges are laser-cut and smooth, so nothing needs sanding.
  • Planning bigger projects is easy. You can order the church on its own or as a set of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces.
  • Laser cutting leaves the typical brown edge that neatly outlines the silhouette.

Why this wooden church makes a difference

A wooden church brings calm to any decoration. It forms the centre of your nativity scene and the focal point of your Advent window display. On a christening table, it creates a quiet, festive setting. Instead of mass-produced items, you make something that carries your own style. That's exactly why it's remembered.

Material & finish

The church is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. This gives clean, smooth edges and a shape that feels good in the hand and is easy to work with. Every piece comes from our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. Wood is a natural material, so the shade and grain vary from piece to piece. Small knots can also occur. This is not a flaw. It makes every church one of a kind.

How to use the wooden church

  • In the nativity scene: place the silhouette behind the stable and figures. The scene gains depth and a calm background.
  • In the Advent window: set a few churches in different sizes on the windowsill. This creates a small Christmas town skyline.
  • For a christening, First Communion or confirmation: paint the church in the colours of the celebration and put one at each place. Your guests have a thoughtful detail in their hands before the meal begins.
  • In craft groups or parish work: with a set of 25 or 50 pieces, every child has their own blank to paint. No cutting and no preparation needed.
  • In shops or cafés: during Advent, decorate your counter or shop window with large churches up to 50 cm. They're natural, quick to set up and can be reused every year.

Good to know about the church

In many villages and towns, the church has been the centre of the community for centuries. Its tower is often the first thing you see from afar. That's why the church silhouette belongs in miniature scenes too. It gives nativity scenes and Christmas light villages their natural centre. It makes the scene instantly familiar.

Care & durability

There isn't much you need to do. Store the church in a dry place and keep it away from constant moisture. As untreated natural wood, it will keep its shape and look good for many years. Painting or oiling it makes the surface more resistant.

Frequently asked questions

Can I paint the church or stick things on it? Yes. The plywood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. Paints, glue, wood stains and oils adhere directly to the surface.

Why does the cutout have a brown edge? The church is laser-cut. This creates the typical dark edge along the cut lines. It's part of the process and outlines the silhouette evenly.

Do all the churches look the same? The shape is identical, the wood isn't. As a natural material, it varies in shade and shows its own grain. Sometimes there are small knots too. Every piece is one of a kind.

How wide is the church? The width depends on the height you choose. For reference: at 10 cm high, the church is 8 cm wide.

A simple wooden cutout becomes the centre of your nativity scene. Or your hand-painted church stands on the table at a christening. And you know nobody else has one like it. Just choose your size and quantity and get started.
