Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.Outside, spring is slowly arriving, and you'd like to bring a little of it indoors – to the window, onto the table, onto a gift tag. A wooden cherry blossom is made for exactly that. It's an untreated wooden cutout that you can paint, decorate with stickers or simply hang up as it is. You can order the cherry blossom individually or as a set. That way you have a motif for your spring decorations straight away.
What changes for you
- You can get started right away with crafting, painting and decorating – because the plywood is untreated and takes paint, glue or oil well.
- You'll find the right size for every idea, from a small table scatter motif to a large wall motif. You can choose any height from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- Your décor looks neat and well thought out – because laser cutting gives smooth edges and an even outline, with no finishing work needed.
- When crafting with children, you can skip the cutting and sanding – the blossoms come ready cut and feel nice in the hand.
- You can plan bigger projects with ease – because the cherry blossoms also come in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
Why this wooden cherry blossom makes a difference every day
Ready-made decorations often look the same everywhere. A wooden blank, on the other hand, lets you create something with your own personal touch – whether delicately painted, labelled with a name or left natural on a branch. The cherry blossom brings a sense of calm and naturalness all by itself, because wood feels warm and fits into almost any setting. That's how a simple cutout becomes something you enjoy looking at and picking up.
Material & finish
The blossom is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. This gives it the typical brown edge that subtly outlines the shape. The edges are smooth and the finish is clean. Nothing frays, nothing pricks. The wood stays in its natural state: not varnished, not glazed. So it's ready for paint, oil or glue. Wood is a purely natural material, so every piece turns out a little different. Some are lighter, some darker, each with its own grain and occasionally small knots. That's exactly what makes every blossom unique. The cutouts are made in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the cherry blossom
- Crafting with children at the kitchen table: everyone paints their own blossom – and afterwards a little spring branch hangs in the window that everyone is proud of.
- As table decoration for a wedding, christening or spring party: one blossom at each place, labelled with a name – and the place card becomes a keepsake.
- For handmade money gifts: use the blossom as a gift tag or as the base for a small money fan – more personal than any envelope.
- In a café, bakery or at a market stall: several wooden cherry blossom motifs in the shop window or on the counter – and your spring display is set up in minutes, seasonal and reusable.
- As table scatter on a table or buffet: small 3 to 5 cm blossoms loosely scattered – and the table looks lovingly laid with very little effort.
Good to know about the cherry blossom
In Japan, the cherry blossom has been celebrated for centuries: for Hanami, the traditional blossom viewing, families and friends gather beneath flowering cherry trees. There, the blossom stands for spring and the beauty of the moment – which is exactly why the motif suits spring décor, outdoor celebrations and any occasion when you want to capture a special moment.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do: as the wood is untreated, it will last for many years if stored dry. Avoid constant damp and wet conditions – or protect the blossom with paint or oil before using it outdoors. That way the surface stays looking good for a long time and your motif is ready to use again season after season.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint or decorate the cherry blossom? Yes. The plywood is untreated and can be painted, coloured, oiled or decorated with glued-on items – paint and glue adhere directly to the raw surface.
Why does the blossom have a brown edge? The cutout is laser-cut. This creates the typical dark edge, which neatly and subtly outlines the shape – the edges are smooth.
How wide is the blossom? Width and height are the same: if you choose a height of 10 cm, for example, the blossom is also 10 cm wide.
Does every blossom look the same? The shape is identical, the wood isn't: as a natural material, it can be lighter or darker and may show small knots or differences in the grain. This isn't a flaw – it makes every piece one of a kind.
In the end, it's not about a wooden cutout. It's about the moment when a blossom branch you've decorated yourself hangs in the window and spring feels a little closer. Simply choose your size – individually or as a set – and start creating.
