The bathroom still looks a little bare. But you've long had the idea for nautical wall decor: a small coral reef made of wood, designed piece by piece yourself. This wooden coral is made for exactly that. It's an untreated wood cutout in the size you need. You can paint it, decorate it or simply leave it natural. A few corals in different sizes turn into a wall people enjoy looking at.

What changes for you

  • You can design your décor exactly the way you imagine it – because the plywood is untreated and can be painted, decorated, varnished or oiled.
  • Your shape fits its spot exactly, whether it's a small coral for the shelf or a large wall picture. That's thanks to the choice of sizes from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • With several sizes you can build a whole coral reef. Use it for nautical wall decor, shop windows or anything with a sea theme.
  • You can start crafting straight away without sanding the edges. The laser cut leaves smooth, clean edges.
  • You save real money when crafting with children, in a club or for shop decor. Sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 are available.

Why this wooden coral makes a difference day to day

Ready-made decor often looks the same everywhere. A wood cutout you design yourself carries your own style. The coral silhouette brings a holiday feel and a touch of nature to your wall, shelf or shop window. It does so without being intrusive. You choose the size and design yourself. So the shape fits exactly where you place or hang it, instead of just standing somewhere.

Material & finish

The coral is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. That's where the typical brown edge comes from, giving the shape a finely drawn outline. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. Paints, glues and oils adhere well, and you keep the natural surface to design on. Wood is a purely natural material. Differences in shade, fine structures in the grain and small knots are normal. They make every piece unique and are not a defect. Each coral is made in Bütic's own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the wooden coral

  • Nautical wall decor in the bathroom or hallway: arrange several corals in different sizes. Individual cutouts become a whole coral reef on your wall.
  • Crafting with children: each child paints their own coral. In the end you have a shared underwater picture for the children's room or group room.
  • Personalise gifts: write on the coral or decorate it. Then attach it to a money gift or a small present with a sea or holiday theme. That way it will be remembered.
  • Shop windows and shop decor: place corals in several sizes quickly. Your summer or beach display looks well planned, without much set-up effort.
  • Sea-themed parties: whether it's a christening, a children's birthday or a summer party, spread the corals as table decor or hang them as a garland. The theme then runs through the whole room.

Good to know about corals

Corals look like plants, but they are animals. Their reefs are among the most species-rich habitats in the oceans. That's why the coral shape stands for holidays, beaches and the underwater world like hardly any other motif. It's an obvious choice for nautical decor, themed parties and summer shop windows.

Care & durability

There isn't much you need to do: simply wipe off dust with a dry cloth. As the wood is untreated, protect it from constant moisture. If it's going in the bathroom or outdoors, seal it yourself with varnish, glaze or oil. That way your coral keeps its shape for a long time.

Frequently asked questions

Is the wood treated? No, the coral is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. It's ideal for painting, decorating, coating or oiling.

Where does the brown edge come from? The coral is laser-cut. The brown edge forms during cutting and is typical of laser cutouts. The edges are smooth and clean.

How do width and height relate? The height depends on the width you choose: at a width of 10 cm, the height is 7.5 cm.

Why does each coral look slightly different? Wood is a natural material. Differences in shade, fine structures and small knots are normal and make every piece unique.

Are there quantity discounts for larger projects? The coral is available singly or as a set of 10, 25, 50 or 100. That's handy for craft groups, decor projects and commercial decoration.
