Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.Autumn is here. Outside, the leaves are changing colour. Inside, you want things to feel cosy – on the windowsill, by the front door, on the laid table. A wooden pumpkin brings exactly that mood into your home. It won't wilt or turn mushy. Untreated, smoothly laser-cut and in the size you want – made for your autumn decorations.
What changes for you
- You can design your wooden pumpkin exactly the way you like. The plywood is untreated, so you can decorate, paint, varnish or oil it.
- You get the size that really fits your space. Choose any width from 3 cm to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- The laser cut gives smooth edges and the typical warm brown rim.
- No more carving and throwing away every year. A wooden pumpkin lasts for many autumn seasons.
- Larger projects are easy to kit out too. Buy them individually or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
Why this wooden pumpkin makes a difference in everyday life
A real pumpkin is gone after a few weeks. The wooden pumpkin stays with you season after season. You bring it out in autumn, and the room instantly feels warmer and lovingly decorated. And because the wood is left natural, you can redesign it every year. Classic orange one year, whitewashed the next, or simply plain with its natural grain.
Material & finish
The pumpkin is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The laser cut leaves smooth edges and the distinctive brown rim. So you can pick up the shape and start creating straight away, with no sanding needed. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. That's why it takes paint, glue and oil well. As a natural material, it can be lighter or darker. Small knots or irregularities in the grain are normal. This is exactly what makes every piece one of a kind.

How to use the wooden pumpkin
- Crafting with children: everyone paints their own pumpkin. At the end, a whole colourful pumpkin family sits on the windowsill.
- For your Halloween party: use small pumpkins as place cards or table scatter. Your guests will be in the mood as soon as they sit down.
- For the autumn wreath on your door: glue or hang on a few shapes. Your entrance greets every visitor with the season.
- In the café, bakery or at your market stall: a large pumpkin up to 50 cm wide in the shop window or on the counter signals autumn at once. Quick to set up and reusable every year.
- At nursery, school or craft group: with sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100, every child gets their own shape. You don't need to reorder one by one.
Good to know about pumpkins
The custom of putting out glowing faces at Halloween comes from Ireland. People there carved them into turnips. Only in America did they become pumpkins. If you'd rather skip the carving, a wooden pumpkin is the lasting option. It comes out of the box every year looking like new. Or you simply paint on a new face.
Care & durability
There's not much to do. Just wipe off dust with a dry cloth. As the wood is untreated, avoid constant moisture. If you want to use the pumpkin outdoors, paint or oil it first. That way your autumn decorations will last a long time.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the wooden pumpkin? Yes. The plywood is untreated. You can paint, varnish, oil or decorate it – for example with acrylic paints when making your wooden pumpkin.
How tall is the pumpkin at my chosen width? As a guide: at 10 cm wide, it is 9 cm tall. Height and width increase in proportion.
Why does the pumpkin have a brown edge? The shape is laser-cut. The brown edge comes from cutting and is part of the typical look. The edges are smooth.
Does every pumpkin look the same? The shape does, the wood doesn't. As a natural material, it varies in shade and can show small knots or features in the grain. This is not a flaw. It makes every piece unique.
This plywood cutout is made for an afternoon of painting and gluing at the kitchen table. Afterwards, it brings a bit of autumn into your home every year. Just choose your size and quantity. The rest happens at home.
