What changes for you
- You can get creative straight away. The wood is untreated. You can paint it, oil it, glue things onto it or decorate it however you like.
- Your finished cow stands up on its own on a windowsill, shelf or table. Just slot it into the flat stand.
- You'll find the right size for every spot. Choose a width from 10 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- Your cow looks lively from both sides. The inner contours are cut right through, so they are visible on both sides.
- Group projects are easy to plan. Whether for nursery, school or a club party, sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 are available.
Why this wooden cow makes a difference every day
A shape made of real wood feels different from printed card. It sits nicely in your hand and gives your decorations a calm, natural look. It still holds together after its third coat of paint. When crafting with children, the clear shape gives them a guide. At the same time, it leaves plenty of room for their own ideas. And once the decorated cow stands on the windowsill, it tells a little story about life in the country – with very little effort.
Material & finish
The cow is laser-cut from 3 mm poplar plywood. This gives it the typical brown edge, which outlines the shape with a fine contour. The edges are smooth and the finish is clean. So the cow is safe to hand to children. Every cow is made in Bütic's own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. Wood is a natural material. Some pieces are lighter, some darker. Small knots and variations in the grain are part of it. That's what makes every piece unique – it's not a flaw, it's the nature of wood.

- Crafting with children: each child paints their own cow. In the end, a whole colourful herd stands on the windowsill.
- As table decoration for a farm-themed birthday: a little cow at every place, and your guests have something to smile about even before the cake.
- In a farm shop or at the weekly market: stand a large cow next to the milk, cheese or yoghurt. Your local products instantly get a face.
- At nursery or primary school: with sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100, you have enough cows for the whole group. No need to reorder several times.
- As a gift tag with a difference: add a small cow with a written message to a gift basket. Your present from the countryside looks lovingly finished.
Good to know about cows
In many Alpine regions, cows are festively decorated when they are brought down from the mountain pastures in autumn. There, the cow has always stood for country life, hard work and a close bond with nature. So this shape doesn't just suit a child's room. It also fits harvest festivals, farm open days and anywhere you want to bring a bit of the countryside to the table.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. As the wood is untreated, an occasional dusting is enough. Protect the cow from constant moisture. Or seal it with paint or oil after painting. Then your work will stay the way you designed it for a long time.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the wooden cow or glue things onto it? Yes. The wood is untreated and takes paint, glue and oil well. You can paint it, glue things onto it, oil it or decorate it as you like.
How does the cow stand up? Simply slot it into the flat stand that comes with it. It will then stand on any level surface without extra accessories.
Why does the cow have a brown edge? The shape is laser-cut, which creates the typical brown edge. It's part of the process and gives the outline its clear definition.
Does every cow look the same? The shape does, the wood not quite. As a natural material, it can be lighter or darker. It may show small knots or variations in the grain. Every piece is unique.
Where is the cow made? It is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.
What counts is not the wooden cutout itself. It's the moment your hand-painted cow stands on the windowsill and makes you smile every time you walk past. Just choose your size – single or as a set – and get started.
