The craft table is set, and the paints and brushes are ready. Now all you need is a shape that makes you want to get creative. The wooden llama “Lutz” is made for exactly that. It's an untreated wooden figure you can paint, decorate or simply stand up as it is. Just right for your next crafting afternoon. Small as table scatter or large as a single figure – you choose the size that suits your idea.

What changes for you

  • You can start painting, oiling or decorating straight away. The plywood is completely untreated and takes paint well.
  • Your project gets exactly the right size, from small table decorations to a large single figure. You can choose any height from 5 to 40 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • It's easy to work with and needs no sanding. The edges are laser-cut and smooth.
  • Your decoration looks just as neat up close as from a distance. That's down to the clean finish and the typical warm brown laser edge, which nicely outlines the shape.
  • When crafting with children, you have a simple base shape to hand. The llama is already cut out, so you can get straight to decorating.

Why this wooden llama makes a difference in everyday life

A ready-made wooden shape takes care of the hardest part for you: the sawing. You can focus on the fun part – mixing colours, embellishing, decorating. And because it's made of wood, the llama fits easily into your home afterwards. Put it on the windowsill, on a present or in the middle of the set table.

Material & finish

The llama is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood and made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The laser cut gives smooth edges and the characteristic brown rim. So you can pick up the figure and start decorating right away. The surface is left natural, not varnished and not glazed. You can paint it, oil it or decorate it, just as you like. Wood is a purely natural material. Brightness, grain and small knots vary slightly from piece to piece. This makes your llama one of a kind and is not a flaw.

How to use the wooden llama

  • Crafting with children: Each child paints their own llama. In the end, a whole colourful herd stands on the table, and everyone is proud of it.
  • As table decoration for a party: A small llama at each place, perhaps with the guest's name written on it. The place card becomes a keepsake to take home.
  • Making money gifts: Stick notes or coins onto the figure. A plain envelope turns into a gift with a wink.
  • As table scatter in a small size: Scatter them across the table or into a gift box. Everything looks lovingly prepared, with little effort.
  • In a shop or café: Painted and placed in the shop window, on the counter or on a market stall. A friendly figure that's quick to set up and makes customers smile.

Good to know about the llama

The llama comes from the Andes in South America. There it has been a reliable companion to people for centuries. Today, as a motif, it stands for calm and good humour. That's why the wooden llama works wonderfully as decoration in a child's room, as a small gift or as a figure on the birthday table.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Keep the untreated wood dry and wipe it with a soft, dry cloth when needed. Avoid constant moisture. That way your llama keeps its natural look for a long time. If you decorate it with paint or oil, the surface is also protected.

Options & what's included

  • Height from 5 cm to 40 cm, in 1 cm steps

  • The llama is supplied untreated and unpainted – decorated examples in the product images are for inspiration only

Frequently asked questions

Can I paint the llama straight away? Yes. The plywood is untreated, so neither varnished nor glazed. You can paint it, oil it or decorate it.

What's the brown edge about? The llama is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown rim along the edges. It outlines the shape and is part of the cutting process.

Do all llamas look the same? The shape is identical, the wood is not. As a natural material, it varies in brightness and may show fine textures or small knots. This makes every piece one of a kind.

How wide is the llama? The width depends on the height you choose. As a guide: at a height of 10 cm, the llama is 4.5 cm wide.

Picture the moment your own llama stands on the table and someone asks: “Did you make that?” Just choose your size – and get started.
