Why this wooden tree makes a difference in everyday life
Homemade things stand out when the base is right. With a cleanly made tree shape, you save yourself the sawing and touching up. You can spend your time on the fun part: decorating, embellishing and giving. On the windowsill, on a gift or as part of a larger display, the tree fits into any setting.
Material & finish
The tree is made from 3 mm plywood and laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The laser cut gives smooth, splinter-free edges. It also leaves the typical, finely browned edge that outlines the shape. The wood is untreated. It is neither varnished nor glazed. So you can paint, decorate, coat or oil it as you like. Wood is a purely natural material, so every cutout turns out a little different. Varying shades, small knots and fine patterns in the grain are part of it. They make every piece one of a kind – not a flaw, but character.

How to use the tree
- Crafting with children: everyone paints their own tree in autumn colours or spring green. In the end, a whole family avenue of trees stands on the windowsill.
- For money gifts: stick notes onto the tree as leaves and write a name on it. An envelope turns into a gift people will talk about for a long time.
- For Christmas decorations: write on small trees, hang them up or attach them to cards and parcels. Your handmade Christmas decorations will clearly be your own work.
- In a café, farm shop or market stall: primed with chalk paint, the tree becomes a sign you can write on for offers or seasonal produce. It's quick to update and made from the same material as the rest of your display.
- As a name or place card at christenings and weddings: put a tree at every place. Your guests take a small keepsake home.
Good to know about the tree
Trees have always stood for growth, endurance and life. That's why in many places people plant a tree of life for a birth or a wedding. It's also why the tree shape works so well for money gifts, guest trees and keepsakes for christenings, weddings or anniversaries. The motif tells the story for you.
Care & durability
There isn't much you need to do. Store the untreated cutout somewhere dry and avoid constant moisture. That way the wood keeps its shape and its light, natural look. If you'd like to display the tree outdoors or in a damp place, protect it first with paint, varnish or oil of your choice.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the tree straight away? Yes. The plywood is untreated and takes paint, glue, glazes or oil without any pre-treatment.
Are the edges smooth enough for crafting with children? Yes. The cutout is laser-cut and has smooth edges. No sanding is needed.
Why is the edge brown? The brown edge comes from laser cutting and is typical of this cutting method. It frames the outline and can be painted over if you like.
Does every tree look the same? The shape is identical, the wood isn't. As a natural material, each cutout has its own shades, fine patterns and sometimes small knots. Every piece is one of a kind.
What matters isn't a wooden cutout. It's the moment someone unwraps the gift you decorated and realises: you really came up with this yourself. Just choose your size – you design the rest.
