Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.Advent is here and the first biscuits are baking in the oven. But the window is still bare. That is exactly what this wooden gingerbread woman is made for. It is an untreated wooden cutout that you can paint, decorate with stickers or simply hang up as it is. A simple piece of plywood becomes your very own Christmas decoration. Hang it in the window, tie it to a present or add it to your Advent calendar.
What changes for you
- You can design your Christmas decorations exactly to your taste. The wood is untreated, so you can paint it, glue things onto it, apply a coat or oil it.
- You will find the right size for every idea. Choose any height from 3 cm to 50 cm in 1 cm steps. That covers everything from a small gift tag to a large window figure.
- You can start straight away, with no sanding or finishing. The gingerbread woman is laser-cut and has smooth edges.
- Crafting with children, in a group or for a bazaar is relaxed. With sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100, everyone gets their own figure.
- Your decoration looks finished even in its natural state. The typical brown edge from laser cutting looks just like a freshly baked gingerbread biscuit.
Why this gingerbread woman makes a difference every day
Ready-made Christmas decorations often look like everyone else's. A wooden cutout you design yourself becomes something that truly belongs in your home. You might paint it together at the kitchen table. You might write a name on it for a present. Or it becomes a favourite figure that comes out again year after year. Decorating turns into a little ritual that everyone looks forward to.
Material & finish
The gingerbread woman is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. This gives smooth edges and a clean outline, even in small sizes. The brown edge comes from the laser cutting and is part of the typical look. The wood stays untreated, with no varnish and no glaze. Paints, glues and oils adhere well, and you decide on the finish yourself. Wood is a purely natural material. Small differences in shade and grain or tiny knots are normal and make every piece unique. The cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

- As a gift tag: choose a small size, write a name on it and tie it to the ribbon. Your parcel under the tree is easy to spot.
- On an Advent calendar: number 24 small figures and hang them on the little bags. Each bag gets its own number that you can hold in your hand.
- In a bakery or café: larger cutouts in your shop window or counter display pick up the gingerbread theme of your goods. They are quick to set up and can be reused every year.
- As window decoration at home: combine several sizes and hang them in the window. The room feels Christmassy straight away, without much decorating.
Good to know about the gingerbread woman
Gingerbread has been part of Christmas in Germany since the Middle Ages. Shaped figures such as the gingerbread man and gingerbread woman are among the most popular. As a wooden cutout, the familiar silhouette brings that bakery feeling into your home. And it lasts for many Christmases.
Care & durability
There is not much you need to do. Store the figures somewhere dry and keep the untreated wood away from constant moisture. That way, shape and surface stay nice for a long time. Your painted pieces will be with you for many Advent seasons.
