Why these wooden lederhosen make a difference
Traditional costume party, Father's Day or autumn decorations: one recurring motif makes your decorations calm and recognisable. Instead of a jumble of odds and ends, the wooden lederhosen tie your table, garland and gifts together. And because the blank is untreated, it carries your own style, not that of mass-produced goods.
Material & finish
The cutout is made from 3 mm plywood and is laser-cut. That's why it has the typical brown edge, which gives the motif a fine outline. The edges are smooth. So you can paint or decorate the lederhosen straight away without any finishing, even when crafting with children. Wood is a purely natural material. It varies in shade, has a lively grain and may contain small knots. This makes every piece unique. The cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the wooden lederhosen
- For Oktoberfest at home: thread several lederhosen onto a string. Now a traditional garland hangs above the buffet and sets the mood straight away.
- For crafting with children: each child paints their own little lederhosen. At the end, everyone has a keepsake they really made themselves.
- As a gift tag or name tag: add a name and thread a ribbon through. Your labelled gift for the costume party is ready.
- For gifts of money: attach a banknote neatly to the lederhosen. A plain envelope becomes a gift with a wink, for example as a homemade Father's Day gift.
- Small sizes as table scatter: spread a few lederhosen across the festive table. Before the first toast, the table already tells everyone what today is about.
- For bakeries, inns or market stalls: as decoration on the counter or in the shop window, the lederhosen show the seasonal theme at a glance during Oktoberfest. Quick to hang up, useful for a long time.
Good to know about lederhosen
Lederhosen come from the Alpine region. They were originally hard-wearing work clothes. Later they became a symbol of Bavarian and Austrian traditional dress. Today, hardly any other motif stands for Oktoberfest, folk festivals and hearty get-togethers like they do. That's why they work as decoration wherever you want to create this mood.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Simply store the untreated cutout in a dry place. It will keep its shape and its light wood look. If you paint or oil it, you decide how the surface looks and how well it is protected.

Frequently asked questions
Is the wood treated? No, the cutout is untreated. It is neither varnished nor glazed. You can decorate, paint or oil it to suit your project.
Where does the brown edge come from? The lederhosen are laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge, which gives the motif a clear outline. It is not a defect but part of the production process.
How wide are the lederhosen at my chosen height? For reference: at 10 cm high, the width is 6 cm. The proportions stay the same across all sizes.
Do all cutouts look the same? The shape is identical, the wood is not. As a natural material, it varies in shade and may show small differences in grain or knots. Every piece is unique.
What counts is more than a wooden cutout. It's the moment your guests spot the garland and can't help smiling, because everything goes together so lovingly. Just choose your height and quantity, and get started.
